What Students Say
Likes
- The college is one of the cheapest college in the entire University of Delhi.
- The infrastructure was great and the gardens were pretty. Plus, the greenery is totally worth it. Peacocks are often found roaming around the campus early morning. And the water fountain is also nice.
- The societies were nice and the students too were okayish.
Dislikes
- The faculty wasn’t that great. Although they could have been smart and educated, but they weren’t interested in teaching.
- The college isn’t well maintained and often you see dirty classrooms.
- Since it also caters to an evening college, it feels as if the college doesn’t have an agency of its own.
Course Curriculum Overview
University of Delhi is know for its curriculum. I had English and Math as my discipline subjects. For a holistic development, I also got to study subjects like political science and film making in different semesters. The internal assessments were fun as well.
Placement Experience
There are very few campus placements. Usually they are for BCom Homs students. The average package goes around 3-4 lakhs. The highest package is not more than 7lpa I am graduating this May only. I have already gotten a job(on my own) with 5.2lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The overall yearly fees varied across the years. The first year, I paid around 7.5k. In second year, I paid around 9k. The last year, I paid around 11k. Since I didn't belong from science background, I didn't need to pay practical fees. Financial aid is also there for students with very less family financial income.
Campus Life
Students freely join 2-5 societies at the starting of their college life and then they decide which one to pursue. Usually, as a college student, you can meet like-minded people in societies and it builds your social circle.
Admission
The eligibility at my time was 12th marks cut off. Now they have CUET. It has reservation benefits as well. it's conducted once a year. Forms can be filled online. One must be well versed in the subject he wants to study in college.
Faculty
Usually, teachers are more interested in passing their time teaching. But they could be true for all colleges. Overall, the teachers are well-learned but there still could be improvements. The English and Political Science faculty was great though.
