What Students Say
Likes
- NIRF ranking is 6. And, Crowd is very good and decent. Faculty and teachers are also good.
- In comparison to many other DU colleges, ARSD has decent infrastructure and safety. CCTVs are almost everywhere.
- Playing Ground is quite big and All over sports is good here. Cricket, football, badminton and specially volleyball team is very active. Societies are also very Nice and provide a lots of good opportunities.
Dislikes
- Education wise I found the college quite careless. You won't be learning much here. Except in some subjects.
- Canteen and classrooms are just average. Not very good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus is strictly sticked to the course and all the necessary things get covered. But mostly on a theoretical level only or only in books. You'll find very less practical approach to the topics being taught.
Internships Opportunities
Mostly all the govt internships are being offered here. I haven't taken any yet. But paid internships are offered. Can't tell much though. But the college provides many opportunities for the students to get internships and participate in projects.
Placement Experience
Can't tell much about placements as I haven't experienced it yet but as much as I heard and seen. Placements are not very good here. And average package is also low. But as the college rank is good, many big companies offer placements here.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is very affordable. That's the best part. If someone is from a private school then his Whole graduation fees will be much lesser than the fees of 1 year of school. The main South campus is nearby so bus passes and other benifits can also be avail easily. From 2nd year students get many internship opportunities.
Campus Life
Overall college life is nice. Crowd is good and friendly. You won't find that cool environment here as shown in movies or the crowd similar to private colleges. Crowd is comparatively decent here. Sports is very good. And societies are also great. The Drama society and mountaineering society are very much active and provide many opportunities. And societies are the best for social relations here.
Admission
Admission is now done by CUET only. Your 12th class marks doesn't matter. If you score 650+ out of 800 in CUET. You'll easily get this college.(For general candidates without any quota) You might even get this at a lower score also if you want a language course or some useless subject.
Faculty
The teachers are very good in nature and very helpful. But in most classes you won't be learning anything. It's just time pass mostly and most teachers are careless. But the ones who cares for education are actually very nice and will help you throughout the year.
Other Applied Colleges
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University - [GGSIPU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Liberal Arts)
Far from home and not as good as DU.
