I applied to SRM and BIT. I did not choose SRM because the fees were too high and rejected BIT because the infrastructure was not as good as Heritage, although the fee structure was same. To get admission in Heritage, one must clear WBJEE or JEE. Cutoff ranks differ in each department In 2021, for Biotechnology, the cutoff rank was 15000. To get admission to Heritage institute of technology Kolkata, there are three ways: 1. By WBJEE 2. By JEE main 3. Br Management According to the recent trend, 4k rank is enough to get into CSE with specializations and 9K for ECE in WBJEE But by JEE Main it goes somewhere around 35K for CSE. You must be 12th passed and minimum marks should have 60% and above marks. When you qualify for any of two exams then you just have to go WBJEE website where you get an option for online councelling where you have to fill Heritage institute of technology as an option then if your rank is enough, you will get a college allotment letter. Then you have to come to collect physically and have to verify your documents physically and then pay your admission fee which costs around 70000. I have qualified for JEE Mains in the year 2015 on which basis I got Heritage College of Engineering and Technology. The Admission process was smooth and the non-teaching Staffs are very helpful and Cooperative. Minimum marks to get Admission in B.tech Computer science and engineering course was 220 out of 360 and minimum 45% aggregate marks in Higher Secondary. There was no age limit for getting Admission.
