Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus which has been recently implemented is way too huge and new for the faculties as well. Few subjects are not even necessary for the sailor to learn. The practical knowledge imparted by the course is great. But the course has become for of theory then practical

You are going to get some internship opportunities as well here which will be really helpful for the better understanding and definitely will help you to get into some good companies.GRSE , Indian Navy , Cochin Port , MMD Kolkata, etc are few places where one can do their internship

If you are all clear and have no backlogs then you can easily get placed in some good companies, the college provides. Companies starts visiting from 2nd Year itself so if you have a good aggregate then definitely you can get easily placed earlier. The placel. Almost everyone gets placed here in different companies like Chevron, MOL, Dynagas

Fees and Financial Aid

The course is divided into 8 semester and the odd semester fees is around 125000 and the even semester costs you around 100000. And this course will include your hostel fees , mess fees and also the college will be providing you with uniforms.

Campus Life

Great for those who want to evolve themselves as a Man. You are going to learn a lot, you personality is gonna bloom in. And at the end of the 4 year of your course you are going to an Engineering officer and those spirits and traits will be reflected by your personality.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is compulsory for this course as this a residential course hence you are going to spend your next four years in this college only and definitely you are going make some good friends, will have some memorable and cheerful days with your mates.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

In order to get into this college, one have to go to clear the IMUCET exam with good ranks. The eligibility criteria is one must be physically fit and have scored 65% and above in PCM in 12th. IMU-CET is an easier exam as compared to JEE

Faculty

Most of the facilities are Marine engineering itself, they have far more experienced, provide the real life personal experiences. They notes provided by them and not only helpful in clearing exams but they do help you in clearing the other exit exams, and in the sailing career as well. The teacher to student is ratio is around 1:30.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development.
