The marine engineer course is all about the machinery used onboard a ship. The student who are fond of ships and are interested in machines or those who have any relatives in this field join this course. I love the see and want to become early Financially stable which this course gives that's why I choose this course. The students after clearing the 12th can join the merchant navy by clearing the IMU CET exam.

Internships are provided outside the campus to heighten your skills and learn other extracurricular things in the marine fields. There is no stipend we get in marines Internship. We are provided with the certificate which can be useful for us during placement.

The placement record of college is very excellent and most of the students get placed on campus. The placement get started from 2nd year only and the company's start visiting the campus for recruitment. The company's like chevron, fleet management, Pacific basin visit and average package provided is about 70000-80000 per month. 90 to 95% of cadets get placed but those who didn't take placement get placement easily outside the college.

The Fees of the college is 9 lakh of 4 year course which includes all your tution, hostel, mess, service and all charges. The scholarship is also given after coming to those students who become rankers of the batch. It's quite affordable and the highest paying job.

The campus life is very enjoying and will become memorable after leaving the college. The College is full of green areas with the sports feild and grounds for sports like football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, badminton, hockey, Cricket, kabaddi and swinging. Their is huge library where all types of book and magazines are available and it's open 24/7. During college many cultural and sports event also held by the students and only their is college fest " TEMPEST" is held every year which includes many events in the feild of cultural, sports, and propulsion. This is the best thing happen in college life. The classrooms and all the facilities are also very maintained and good.

There is a separate hostel for all the years. For the 1st years in the hostel there is 1 room for 5 5 students and for 2nd&3rd year there is 1 room for 2 students and for 4th year there is a separate room for everyone. The hostel mess food is almost good with number of varieties. The hostel is compulsory for the student and the hostel fees is included in the course fees.

For Admission in Indian Maritime University all campues there is a exam IMU CET which is help every year for the Admission and it's cuttoff is according to the scores and students. By applying for IMU CET you can get Admission in all colleges of the IMU. The exam syllabus is basically all from your class 11th and 12th subject.

The faculty members are graduated and most of them are marine engineers who have so much experience in the marine feild which make them capable of making cadets feel ans study all the subjects with examples. The faculty to student ratio is 6:10 but it's not bad every teacher is good. They are available and ready to help anytime for our studies or any type of doubt.
