Media lab and its equipments like Dslr, video camera, Lights, studio pcr room etc. they provide help in practical

Dislikes

Everything is broken from pad vending machines to water cooler. There is always water shortage and no sanitation in washroom
A college this big and old requires maintainence but it has not been provided everything is falling apart

Course Curriculum Overview

The entire curriculum has been changes due to new education policy which has made it better and suitable for practical field as a journalism student we are taught everything from radio to print and television with special emphasis being paid to social media and mobile journalism.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 22700 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

A lot of money is being taken in the name of maintenance but there has been no spending of that fund in maintaining the college. We pay sports fee library fee and what not but facilities are zero. Scholarships are provided for financial help. The rest scholarships are though provided but are of a minimal amount.

Campus Life

Well there is no campus life for kalindi student. The college has not been renovated, not even maintained and sanitized. The washrooms condition are bad and unuseable . Though there are different clubs but only 2 or 3 of them work and organise events. There is only one hour period in a week dedicated for society. All books in library are old editions and very limited.

Admission

Well now because of cuet the chances of getting admission have increased. First cut of is usually above 700 cuet score. The exams are conducted in every 5 month and usually go on for 2 months may and june december and January. Slc.uod.ai is the website for fee payment exam form filling and everything.

Faculty

There are 7 teachers for all three years intotal of 180 to 190 students. the entire faculty is experienced and a good mentor. There is assistance for everything and great supervision. Its more of a school we have ptm, regular test and copy maintaining procedures.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 4th year to sit in placements. Famous companies like NDTV, News 24 , India today, ABVP,etc comes for placement. Highest package was 1200000 per annum and 300000 per annum is average package. Profiles offered are reporter,research executives, content creator, anchor, field reporter,etc I will go for anchoring after completing the degree.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

The Glimpse of DSJ

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate my course four out of five because in journalism is a field where people are not about so much. The main stream media does not show the real problems and challengs of the country. They live in a bubble of their own. Many of the times they provide miss information to the people which hurts the hearts of the people. They do not cover multiple aspects of media. The exams in the daj is not so hard you can easily pass it by just 4 to 5 days of preparation.

Kalindi: The off Campus Star of DU !

There were several Reasons to choose Kalindi: It's an all girls college so it felt comparatively more Safer than the Co-ed ones. Also, this might be an unpopular opinion but the Boys were not there to make mischiefs so there was a good built-in environment for Study. Girls were there to manage each and everything. Either it was NCC, NSS, Sports, Societies or even Student Union, girls were incharge of literally everything and it used to feel very proud and wholesome. Honest opinion of kalindi college

Cuet is the eligibility. Like 70-80% percentile in physics can get you in kalindi. Application are announced nearly in March- april. This exam happens once a year. Cuet have a bit of lengthier and time taking admission procedure but it's worth it....Read More
