What Students Say

Likes

Teaching faculty is good.The teachers here are experienced and have a lot of knowledge regarding their respective subjects and are helpful and keen to teach
The attendance criteria is not hectic teachers are chill about attendance and students are generally allowed to sit in the exams with over 50% attendance

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not that good the buildings are old and even the classrooms dont have ACs and the benches are also kinda old
Campus life is also not great here as its the south campus of PU there is not much to explore and UIET's campus is even smaller

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is relevant to much extent but some unnecessary subjects are also there and some important subjects like programming are only available for the CS and IT students.Also the schedule of exams sometimes become too hectic as during Mid sems there are 2 exams on same day in morning and evening shifts.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 115000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The course is highly affordable and the fees is less as compared to other colleges.The University also provides many scholarships to the economically weaker students also the fee hike policy is not here and the fees is fixed during the start of the course.

Campus Life

There are two fests of the college the one held in April is Goonj and the other is held in mid December which is names as Legacy but Goonj is far better in terms of the arrangements and the time period for which it is held.The campus here is small and there is not much to be explored here.

Admission

The admission process is pretty simple students have to give JEE and the seats are alloted on the basis of the score in JEE.To apply for the couse studnets need to fill the JAC Chandigarh counselling form and then counselling process starts and seats are allotted

The faculty is highly educated and helpful and are very keen to teach.Faculty is often available in the college and students can easily approach and interact with them they all are welcoming and improves our learning experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is mostly based on theoretical aspects as the course itself is bachelor of engineering there can be more practical aspects but the overall difficulty level is medium i would say and these are durable

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

Placements at our college are one of the most sought after aspects of Institute and play a crucial role in attracting students the placement process generally begins in the 7th semester where students become eligible to sit for complete drives pre placement talks aptitude drowns according test technical interviews and hour interviews are conducted depending on the profile a wide range of companies visit the campus spanning sectors like core engineering IT data science consulting analytics product based roles denounced recruiters like Microsoft Amazon Gold Demps such as JP Morgan Qualcomm Maruti Tata Motors Deloitte Pwc Infosys Wipro and Assinus among others the product based firms and tech giants usually hire in limited numbers but offer a lucrative packages for instance Microsoft and museums have made offers in range of 40 to 50 lakh per annum with analytics and consulting firms generally offer between eight to 15 lpa the average package of Institute to hover around 10 to 12 lpa varying across branches as for employability pec ensures the student remain industry ready those students still need to up skill through coding for platforms internships and certifications personally after completing my degree I plan to pursue opportunities in data science and Analytics leveraging my college names strong alumni network and my own technical preparation to secure competitive role in the industry

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

form 3rd year college placements get started but student can do side internship by themself in 1st and 2nd year offcampus type , there is no restriction from our college . in 2023 atlasian give highest package of 83 lpa . various companies like microsoft , jp morgan , american express come to PEC for hiring .

UIET Panjab University Chandigarh College, Hostel and Campus review

After 6th sem companies start visiting the campus. In 2023, 85 companies visited but this time the no. is double. Amex kpmg delloite paytm zs associates etc visits here. Its more than an average decent college you can surely come here.

Placement Experience:

You can appear for placements starting from 7th semester onwards plus you can apply yourself as well to various off-campus opportunities. The companies which visit are decent i would say including the likes of Amazon, Deloitte, Hero came as well few years ago for mechanical engineers. Around 50-60 decent companies visit the college for placement with around 300 job offers with the highest package around 41 lpa which was off campus probably but Amazon could give upto 25-30 lpa i guess, The average package would be around 7 lpa i guess but its gonna improve year by year. If you are in CSE or IT you are most chilled with around 80% placements, in ECE as well there are decent placements but after that you have to study really well to get placed But you can always do a lot of things after getting your degree.

Remarks:

I chose this because of the brand of Panjab University. Plus you get a lot of exposure of Chandigarh and there are a lot of opportunities there based on your field, even better than Delhi. Plus you never get distracted in Chandigarh because of the reason that people are too much work and ethics focused. Also, the level of knowledge the teachers have in my college is just great.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location.
