ARSD have great campus with canteen and sports ground
Library have great set of books with air conditioned reading rooms
Supportive and Motivating Faculty who encourage students

Dislikes

Hectic schedule of classes and sometimes there is gap of hours between classes
Indoor game facilities are not available

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Economics Honours as I studied commerce in class 12 and it provides me wide range of future opportunities in different fields as well as in different regions of the world. Curriculum helps students by giving them an insight about real life scenerios and different markets in corporate world. Exams are held at the end of each semester with moderate difficulty and anyone can pass with mild preparation. Apart from assignment and internal assessment are held as practicals which are added in final marksheet as internals.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 14445 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

UOD provides courses with Affordable prices with specific course average fees being 8000-16000. Apart from that examination forms are filled up each semester of 1500, The cost of living in Delhi depends on the location of the student residing in with an average cost of living being 12000-15000 per month inclusive of rent and transportation.

Campus Life

The annual Fest of ARSD named TIDE is held usually in the month of February and March, a three-day event comprising DJ nights and Bollywood star nights and stalls installed by students and different corporate stalls or sponsors. The library has great accessibility of books from different ranges of books available from languages to different domain books. Basketball court, cricket pitch and nets are available in the college and other sports facilities are also available in the college.

Admission

For my course student need to give CUET exam with one language + mathematics (compulsory) + two domain subjects included in exam form. Application forms for CUET are out in the month of Feb and Mar with an Application fees dependable upon various combination of Subjects chosen. Apart from that students need to apply on CSAS portal for allocation of their seats in Delhi University.

Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College have top quality faculty with experienced teachers and professors having done masters and PhD in their field. Faculty to student ratio around 40 which makes personal interaction with professor easier. Teachers are approachable and provide extra help to every student.

Kamala Nehru College: Where Opportunity awaits

Likes

I really liked the environment of the college as there was a diverse set of students coming from across the country.
The faculty was top notch and was very dedicated and knowledgeable. If we faced any issue they would come up to help us deal with it.
Also i liked the infrastructure of the college as they recently added a new building and have improved a lot in sports equipments and facilities.

Dislikes

The admin section of the college is very slow and it is a hassle to deal with them. Half a time they are either on a break or on lunch.
There is sometimes non availability of chairs in classrooms like there are approx 40 chairs in each classroom but if the strength of the class is more then we have to borrow it from the next classroom.
Also you will have to take up some additional course which sometimes feel unnecessary but its not only in this particular college but in all the colleges under University of Delhi.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Likes

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

Likes

I liked the environment and the crowd of the college, and also my professors. Like seriously they are so helpful and kind
Also what I like about this college is that it's liberal unlike other colleges of North campus
I love the ashoka lawn and the big ground in front of the gym

Dislikes

I hate the staff, especially the technical staff ( Ankita Jain ), I went to her with erp portal issue and she just didn't look after my issue properly and sent me away. It was totally unexpected. She must be removed from her position.
The canteen staff, I didn't like their behaviour
Some of the seniors are shit and not helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it 9 out of 10. The reason is simple, whatever my professors teach and everything that is there in my syllabus is really helpful for my future. Not just that, they way lectures are delivered by the professors is just awesome

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Likes

College provides a free environment for sports.
It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

I chose the course because I want to become ias.approximately 100students in class . . Many proofesser are highly educated like PhD ma etc our faculty offers many opportunities.There are 6 semester in 3 years and 2 in each year .it is normal to crack the exam but hard to get High marks

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

I was made to prepare a list of colleges that provided the course that I opted for. So I made a list of all thr college in accordance to my convenience and what I wished to get into. My first priority was obviously a north campus college such as hindu college, kirori mal, hansraj and likewise. Then I proceeded to add the rest of the topmost colleges that came under south campus. A Detailed Review on ARSD College

My CUET Score was 724/800 and I was allotted Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College in the first round. The admission process did not take longer than 15 minutes. I had to take my 10th, 12th Marksheet along with my Aadhar card, Transfer Certificate and CUET Application to the Admin office and that was it.
