Campus Life is the best here, it provides freedom and there are several fun festivals to keep you excited.
Hostels here are comparatively better than most of the hostels in other colleges like vit.
Classrooms are great with enough space and ac.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curricululm Is the best herecovereing everything related to computer science. It guides and prepares us for the interviews very well. Teaching methods are great however can require some more interactions. Exams 2 times every semester and they are quite moderate.

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 536000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are offered by companies like oracle , paytm, samsung, oyo, amazon india, jp morgan etc big companies are in top 25 recruiters. Numbers of students getting interened are increasing every year with more than 50000 as of 2022 data.

Placement Experience

Students can become eligible for placements at fourth year of their course. Companies like google, microsoft, adobe, apple etc big companies take students from here. Highest package is of 55 lac as of 2023 and average package of 11 lacs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is affordable for most and does not seem to increase every semester. Complete cost would be 25lacs for 4 years of course. Multiple Scolarships are given at the start of year to freshers. I have not taken any campus employment yet.

Campus Life

The campus life is great. Many technical anf non technical festivals. There is a very big library providing wide range of educational books and journals. Spots Activites are great here, even sports festivals are held and many inter hostel tournaments etc.

Hostel Facilities

The room facilities are single bed, table, light, AC (not in every hostel), Almaari with many sections, chair, dustbin. Food Quality depends on hostel to hostel but overall satisfactory. Registration process is very simple as details are sent on gmail and one have to fill a form.

Hostel Fee: INR 144800 per year

Admission

Need to give jee and boards for eligibility. Application form on thapar.edu. Exams every Semester consisting of mid sem and end sem exams along with quizzes. Admission Process Need to Annouce things early and not surprised as things not clear.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

My plan is to pursue masters but placements at LPU are best. Over 100 tech comapnies have tie-ups with our university and all of them are of highest regard. From Code tech to Flipkart and Google every big tech company come to our campus. Student have bagged packages close to 1 crores as well from LPU campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience
