A SHORT GLIMPSE OF IEM KOLKATA

The college is very disciplined and trains the students very well that's why I chose this course. The curriculum is very beneficial for real-world applications. The teachers can be more descriptive. The exams are very frequent and quit difficult.

Many companies come for interns in this college as it is AICTE approved. Companies like cognizant, tcs , pwc , wipro and many more can come for interns. Different kinds of projects are given and the internships are mostly non- paid, few of them can be paid too.

From 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. Wipro , pwc, tcs etc. Highest package can reach upto 9lpa. Average package is 3lpa. Placement percentage is good around 80% students get jobs. I will try to get a job or opt for higher studies.

Now the semester fees is 85000 per semester. It can be increased by 10000 within a year or two. Excluding this other expenses are also there regarding the curriculum. Scholarships are also available if you want to opt. One can do various volunteering in various events.

There are tons of events throughout the year. There is a cultural fest and one technical fest. Tons of books and journals are available in the library of all the campuses. There are projectors in the classroom. Many tournaments of many sports are organised by the college. There are various clubs and social groups in the college.

You need to pass class 12th with atleast 45% or above. You need to have atleast one competitive exam rank card. Application forms can be found from Ashram campus of IEM. Exams are very frequent and quit difficult. Admission process can be a bit more smooth
