Course Curriculum Overview

If you ask about the teachers , they are strict ofcourse . Overall the course is beneficial from the future perspective but the teachers that are in the branch are the most hated part . They don't give proper marks at all . And if you ask about any other branch be it mechanical, IT , ECE the teachers are lenient. The teachers no doubt teach good but the behaviour they show towards children is depressing for me till now.

Placement Experience

CSE and IT placements are good . Talking about the core branches such as EEE , mechanical the chances of government jobs are pretty much high if you crack up GATE or other JE exams . On campus placement mainly depends upon CGPA

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 1 lacs per year which is I guess pretty much affordable for the middle class I guess . Scholarships depends upon the CGPA you get in the previous semester also you should have no backs in the sem . You family income should be low for you to be eligible for scholarship

Campus Life

Hostel life is good . Campus life is interesting. Places like stuc ( student center) , ac joshi library makes the atmosphere more enjoyable. Students from all over the india from different states come here to study their masters , do their phds so University comes with the diversity. College fests + Events make life worthwhile

Hostel Facilities

Mess food is good , delicious, lip smacking but maa ke haath ka khaana ka koi mukabla nhi hota. Rooms are good , spacious. 3 seater rooms as well as single seater rooms + double seater rooms are available. There are total 8 boys hostel and 10 girls hostel . Registration process is again online . Depending upon your JEE you get preference when hostel seats are out

Admission

I was a LEET student ( lateral entry ) . I did a diploma in electrical engineering also then I took the exam of PULEET , which directly got me into the 2nd year. It was on site of Panjab University . The examination fees was I guess 2k or 3k something. The test included questions from the engineering domains mechanical, computer, electrical, maths + english was also there

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

Great college with immense opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is upto date and to the industry levels, especially with great labs and internship opportunities. Exams, are based on the course but they're quite tough and we need to study daily to get good marks.

Good college with great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 4th year and many get PPOs in 3rd year as well. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, visits the campus for placement. In CSE last year, the highest package was around 60 LPA with average around 17-18 LPA with 80% got placed.

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

BEST you can get in low JEE ranks. GREAT ROI.

One can get admission in UIET, CHD by applying for JAC CHANDIGARH counselling. One has to give JEE mains exam and based on its score, JAC Chandigarh conducts counselling through which admissions process occurs. I applied for YMCA Faridabad and DCRUST Murthal as well. I also applied for JOSAA counselling but due to my low rank in JEE mains, I couldn't get any NIT or IIIT. I was getting YMCA or DCRUST but choose UIET over them, because of its location. It is situated in main Chandigarh and very near to my home. Moreover, it's placements are better than both of them....Read More
