Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum are very good and the faculty is very kind . I am to do well in my exams just by getting teached by my lecturer.we have good level professors at our university that have studied at reputated universities.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are very vast and companies like microsoft and apple come here to give internships . The internship culute is very competitive and thapar helps us to get those internships with the help of many programs given by thapar.

Placement Experience

Placement are impressive and is one of the reasons i had chosen thapar university. Average package of student here is 11-12 lpa and to be branch specific like computer science it is around 13-15 lpa and our university supports startup ideas and give semester gap for free if they feel the idea is valid.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees depends on your course . Computer related courses have fees around 2,50,000 per semester and eletronics related branches around 2,20,000 per semester . Many scholarships are provided at thapar , some are on the base of family income and few are given on the basis of spga .

Campus Life

Campus life is amazing and our seniors are very kind and helping . Clubs are fun to join and we have big variety of clubs from travelling to gaming. Many departments are there to join in a club such as video editing, media , marketing and many more.

Hostel Facilities

I live in hostel J in which i have alloted a single seater room without A/C . It is not bad at all this hotel is very big and i have alot of seniors as friends . Caretaker are kind and helping and we have a drug free environment.

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Admission

The admission process was very simple . I had given my jee mains and had scored 93 percent and i straight up went for the cse seats available at thapar university and got cse . I had later opted for international program in the same branch as i felt that i would have more experience studying abroad for 2 years at university of toledo

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Placement Experience:

My plan is to pursue masters but placements at LPU are best. Over 100 tech comapnies have tie-ups with our university and all of them are of highest regard. From Code tech to Flipkart and Google every big tech company come to our campus. Student have bagged packages close to 1 crores as well from LPU campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. I had a really nice percentile of 98.9 in jee mains but what happend is i intentionally wanted to score 69 in boards i didnt know about the 75 percent jee mains criteria i got 69.7 i like to call it 69.69 but i messed up so i applied in vit as well and srm and thapar i got in all of them after giving there respective tests on the same fees but i chose thapar was better after some consultation with my relatives who are in this field and know people in this field i got admission in the end on basis on jee only in thapar and the experience is well...Read More
