Likes

Faculty delivers good lectures and is supportive
There are many cultural and technical clubs which we can take part of
The college is very active with many events going on every weekend

Dislikes

The hostel provided has many food issues
The college does not have a big campus overall
The placement cell is very poor as there are many miscommunications in their part

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is built such a way that even a below average student can pass the exam given proper preperation. The College when I joined was under KTU. But now the College has become auotonomous which will improve the quality of syllabus. There are two series exams which is considered for your internals. The main univeristy exam is also easy and can definietly score good marks. But the evaluation of KTU is very bad and unprofessional. Which wont be an issue as the College has now become autonomous.

Placement Experience

The placements are average. Not many core companies approach. So the oppurtunity to get into companies of same domain is very less. Although there are many mass recruiters coming which will take lot of students for very base packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is same as the Govt colleges since it is an aided college. There are many scholorships provided for many categories. Amd there are many awarness class provided for the same The campus placements are almost average.

Campus Life

There are a lot of clubs which we can take part of. And there are always many events small and big conducted on most weekends. The college is very active when it comes to different cultural activities. The technical clubs are also very active. The sports is given very importance The classroom facilites and labs are very good. Amd the campus is very clean

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is very average. There are 5 members in one small room. And the fees is 6k per month which is very high. The mess food also has continous complaits. The hostel is near college. It is better to stay outside for good food

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

Admission is through KEAM rank. Keam is conducted once every year. Students with rank 3000 below under OBC NCL will easily get admission in Electronics branch. Admission process in College were smooth.

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA.
