Course Curriculum Overview

It follows VTU syllabus but for the current batches it has been changed hence my information may not be relevant. The faculty is good and supportive. We have three internals all of them being compulsory and finals for each semester and final marks distribution is 40+60 of internals and final exams respectively.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 85000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies such as society generale, KPMG, gyansis,nvidia, Daimler,ellucian have come for software role internships which can then turn into full time employment. The stipend ranges from 10k to 30k and time duration also ranges around 3-6 months. They mostly hire for software, data analytics,cyber security or web development roles in Cse department

Placement Experience

You can start appearing for placement activities from 3rd year onwards. Each student can only have 2 offers. This year due to current recession aand few other reasons the number of companies visiting the campus is low. The highest package offered so far was 22 lpa and average is around 8-9 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees was under 1 lakh since I got in through CET and scholarships are available. However the scholarships are offered only to financially backward students . Other than college fees, exam fees and record fees etc are collected seperately for each semester

Campus Life

BIT has an annual techno cultural fest Manthan that runs for 2 days usually during even semester which also includes ethnic day and flash mobs from every department all through the week. There are many cultural and technical clubs that are active and students can join any number of clubs. There's a library,digital library and reading room all of which can be accessed any time .

Admission

I was admitted through KCET. I had researched the top colleges through collegedunia and entered them in the list and this was the closest to my cut-off hence I was eligible. The cutoff for general Category Cse was around 2k. After that, we had to go to the college fill in the forms and submit the necessary documents

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate 3/5 because we want more systems to do our work as well as labs too,the main thing is we dont have that faculty compare to other department their are only 4 faculty,so they can't even able to take extra class for us ,so this is the main problem in our deparment

Good for you if you want a degree and want self learn

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are no such specific of the curriculum that influenceed me to take these course instead i was interested or kneen to this course., since my childhood I wanted do this course. It's good in terms of virtual world but not for real world. Everywhere there's a need of improvement no practical knowledge is present here no one talks about new ideas not even they think about even some of them came because it costed them low. No such specific difficulty.

The campus placements are pretty well and this year they are even more better .from 6 th semester onwards students become eligible for the placement and I have also planned to cover multiple cources provided by the college and some outside material also to get the market exposure and make my resume more stronger.The highest package offered by the companies is 48 lpa.The placement percentage ranges from 75 to 85 percent

Placement Experience:

The students from the last year that is seventh semester are allowed to attend the placement given on campus. There are not so many campus placement available. Many companies such as tcs, wipro and other companies basically giving less salary compared to other colleges. There are many few students who got placed in the companies through campus placement hence it cannot be trusted completely. My plans after getting a degree is to get a job or even higher studies of possible. The average students getting placed are very low.

An amazing college experience that shaped my future

I applied to several college including R V college of engineering N.I.E college of engineering and Dayanand sagar college of engineering.I received confirmed admission offers from Dayanand college of engineering in the first KCET round but I chose my college that is BIT because of its excellent academic environment and placements opportunity.I applied to this college had a more student freindly atmosphere better industry connection more extra curiculum activities and no ragging in the campus.I did't get RV college because cutoff for my desereved branch was quite high and entrance exam score is below their requirements.The admission process for my college was quit straigth forward.Admission process based on KCET or COMED-k.The process was transparent and well managed.After document verification and fee payment I recevied my official admission order.Overall experience is smooth and hassle free....Read More
