It has been a joyful experience, to say the least.

The course that a student of this college will be studying here is made by MAKAUT which also has several other colleges(, mostly private) under it as well, so expecting the coursework to be of a very high quality is unreasonable,but it is decent and covers all the bases and topics that an engineer needs to know. During the last two years of the course, focus on practical learning is amplified, with mandatory internships and industry visits a must according to the university guidelines. All the different laboratories that are required in an engineering college are there and it is well-staffed. Research Initiatives are aplenty with most faculties being involved in different research work and all students are required to submit a project in their final year on a research topic as chosen by their project guide.

The college does not provide internships, but with the help of Internshala and Internshala Student Partners, getting an Internship should not be too difficult provided you are sincere and have the necessary qualifications required.

The placement scenario in this college is overall a decent one, approximately 80% of the students get placed in every session, some of the others choosing to go for further studies even. Major Companies that come here are TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, M N Dastur, HUL. The average package depends on the company and how much they are recruiting that particular session. TCS selected 113 students with an average package of 3.36 LPA and Wipro selected 20 students with an average package of 3.2 LPA. Hindustan Uni Lever selected 5 students with an average package of 9 LPA.

The Techno-Management fest organized by KGEC is called Techtix and the Cultural fest organized by KGEC is called Espektro.

Being a Government Engineering College, it is significantly cheaper to study here than in most engineering colleges. Tuition Fees for Mechanical And Electrical students are Rs 3000 per semester. Tuition Fees for CSE And ECE students are Rs 6000 per semester. Tuition Fees for IT students are Rs 12000 per semester. There are 8 semesters in total.

The faculty in this college is highly qualified, all having M.Tech Degrees at the least with a considerable amount of experience in prior research work.
