"From Clueless Fresher to (Slightly Less Clueless) Senior: My Hansraj Journey"

I am pursuing BA Programme (Eco+Hist) with Eco majors. We study 7 subjests per semester till 4th semester in in 3rd year it is 6 subjects. 3 core + GE + AEC/EVS + VAC + SEC The college does not not provides all Optional papers offered by University but papers are available in Cluster Colleges but few students of my batch have faced problem of other colleges not shareing the result of that subjest to the home college. The faculty is a mix of good and bad professors the infrastructure development is in process. This Course is majorly theoretical. But no prerequisites are required just a good reading during the course of the Degree. My Batch had completed 2 year cousre withis a span of less than 1.5 years.

I have not done any internship offered by College as they are generally on-site. I have found internships that are work-from home by myself through sites linke InternShala and Indeed. Company. Post. 1. Seating in placement is offered only to 3rd year students. 2. Courses like B.Com, B.Com(H) and Computer Science (CS) students get maximum placement. 3. Othe cources have a fewer possibility to get a college placement. 4. Though internships are available from 1st year. 5. Highest Package sing 75 years is 36.5 LPA while the average salary package is 7.9 LPA. 6. A number of companies showup for placement throughout the year. 7. A decent attendance as a sign of punctuality and a CGPA of 8+ is given a greater preffence in being eligible for sitting in the placement but ofcourse interview and GD rounds or other test (depending on the prospective employer) are must to clear for securing a job. 8. As per my best knowledgeable 530+ students get a placement every year. PS: - This might be subject to the change in economics factors.

The fee ranges from 21K - 24 K every semester. There is a scolarship facility available in the College for fees wavier. The charege for examination are excluded from the acedamic fees it is ?1200+ each semester. There is less scope for flexibility in attendance if you are an ECA student or are doing an internship. And the processess for that is also not clearly explained by the college. A 66.7% Attendance is a must. The placement Cell of the college provides internship details of available internships but they are generally on-site. Some free short term courses are also offered by the college occasionally.

I have an amazing lot of friends in college. The capus life is good, except some instances were some notorious students make it strict with there actions. The Hansraj Campus is a no smoke zone and the food available in canteens and food stations is completely vegetarian. The college is adjacent to a number of food outlets, gaming zone, markert (Kamla Nagar) etc. HansRaj has the maximum number of Society in the DU circuit nearly 60+. Worshops, seminar, events and competitions are a regular phenomena. If a stundent is able to manage as a student and a member of society/multiple societies than it helps in a multi-tasking personality of an individual. The post and promotion certificate also adds to ones CV. Being the College of SRK, Hansraj has a different level of Fame.

The admission process was through CUET UG, we were the experimental batch and we faced quite a few difficulty in this. We gave 2 board and CUET also. I got my third Prefference HANSRAJ COLLEGE. The Application Form did not cause any significant trouble but i suggest students to fill the for carefully and get it rechecked once or twice before submitting. I am an ECA student and the process was quite simple. The ECA audition were held smoothly.
