Course Curriculum Overview
The candidate must keep in mind that this field is highly mechanical. If the candidate opts for Marine Engineering, he/she must keep in mind that the curriculum is designed in such a way that it focuses on overall development of candidates strength, endurance and knowledge.

The fees is 1100000 as of now for all the IMU campuses which is fairly cheaper in comparison to other colleges that are providing this course. Various scholarships are available. Candidates can sit for The scholarships in their 3rd semester.
Campus Life
The overall experience is completely different from any other college. The disciplined life is what makes the best of the cadets of IMU kc erstwhileDMET. Asia's biggest Marine Fest is held in this college. It's called The Tempest. Various cultural, technical and sports events are held. A huge Library of books are available in the library of the campus. Candidates can take part in Different types of sports like Cricket , Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Swimming, Table Tennis and many more.
Admission
The admission process was very smooth. There is an entrance exam, it's called IMU-CET (Indian Maritime University, Common Entrance Test). The application form is available in their official website. Candidate must be 18 years old. Candidate must have atleast 50% in English and 70% in PCM. Then he/she will be eligible for the exam. The exam is conducted twice a year. The first one is for Marine Engineering and Nautical Science. The second one is only for DNS (Diploma in Nautical Science). The difficulty level of the exam is Medium. It's very easy compared to JEE (Joint Entrance Exam). The admission process is as follows: After the IMU-CET exam, the candidate will recieve his/her rank. According to the rank, two list is going to come out. The first list will be the candidates who scored rank within 1000. After the rank list. The counselling process will start.
