Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to prepare for civil services and this subject allows me to study for the subjects which I need to study for my civil services examination. This course curriculum is not that diverse and you can get knowledge of diverse fields only when you delve into various societies. You'll get ample time in this course for doing your other work related to your side hustle or for anything as the curriculum is very short.
Placement Experience
The placements are not that much good in my college as it does not comes under the top core college of Delhi University. Many companies comes to the top colleges of Delhi University firstly and some mediocre companies do come to our college. Although, the companies visited in our college for which the last semester students were eligible, offered around 5-7 lakhs per annum on an average. In my course, only around 5 percent students were placed just because everyone was busy with their own priorities as all were preparing for some government exams. Talking about me, I'll do civil services preparation after completing my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
On an around I paid 10000 per year as a tution fees excluding the examination fees which was somehow not very much. Yes, the college provided various scholarships into which total fees can be waived. You can also enroll in PM scholarship into which I was enrolled and I got full tuition fees every year at the end of the academic year. I had worked in college societies so that I can get some extra amount which helped me in my studies and some accomodation charges.
Campus Life
Every year one fest is organised by the students union and it is generally very big. Also, there are many societies in this college and they usually conduct various events into which you can get insights from special guests too sometimes. Talking about the Library, it is very good as many books are available along with comfortable chairs and silence for long study which you can do easily. Along with that, there are huge grounds and college principal in my time especially made various designated areas for table tennis and volleyball players.
Admission
The admission process was very smooth as it was based on the merit in my case. I got my admission on the basis of my marks obtained in class 12th. Anyone after completing their class 12th can get admission in this course. As everyone is aware that now onwards admission in Central University is based on CUET basis so you've to apply for that examination as this college is under Delhi University and thus obviously a Central University.
