NIT JAMSHEDPUR : THE UNDERRATTED COLLEGE

The course and curriculum is quite good. The college not only just focuses our theoretical knowledge but practical knowledge too. Also the pattern of exams are also very nice that there are total 2 main exams i.e mid semester exam and end semester exam. Besides these on a regular basis class tests, vivas and quizes are held in classes and labs.

Basically you to be skilled in both competitive programming and in development too. Also a good cgpa like above 7.5 is a mandatory to get good placements and internship opportunities. Companies like Amazon gives internship opportunities to students from 3rd Year onwards.

Students start doing internships from 3rd Year onwards and try for PPO through them in big companies like amazon. Here many companies visit like Atlassian, Wipro, Blackrock Deloitte,etc. My plan is to get good placements from college after degree.100% placements are there for branches like CSE,ECE,EE and METALLURGY.

So the fees structure is divided in a way like first of all 73000 is tuition fees then 15000 is hostel fees and 17000 is mess fees per semester. Scholarships are available for students like ekalyan, etc. Also 2/3rd fee remission is given to students having annual income less than 5lakhs and full fee remission for students having annual family income less than 1 lakh.

Overall experience is very nice. Campus life is very chill and fun. People here are also very good and bonding of senior and junior is best in this college. There are many clubs which students can join and infrastructure is nice.

Basically, for 1st year you will be provided a double sharing room for boys and triple sharing for girls. You will be provided a table, chair and 2 almirahs. Common washrooms are available which are cleaned on regular basis. Meal quality is very good and hygienic. Taste is good but you will not get much variety of vegetables.

Admission process was very smooth and easy. Things and documents were already told to bring and fees had to be paid in advance. Cutoff this time was slightly lower than the year 2022. Token system was been followed for registration process and immediately after that students were alloted their respective hostels and rooms. I got free in half day only and then enjoying the city and college with my father the rest of the day.
