Remarks

Management only focus on college structure not students structures if my college think about students more compare to their infrastructure then i am 200 % sure it will be a game changing point. But new director have taken action against it. They have started too many techincal events i appreciate it.

Entrance Preview

I want to make my carrier in the field of mechanical engineer and I want to do it from a government college rather than private because i had money problem. Main highlight for me choose this college. I had gave also too many entrance exams but i could not get good scores. I got this college through JEE MAIN in spot round.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Course structure is little bit bad not fully but still some improvement required in this field. Some syllabus are useless if you want to preparing for GATE entrance exam. Syllabus are much more in theoretical way less amount of practical works in our academics. Labs are also not too good.

Internships Opportunities

No college does not provide any internship. If anybody get they get by their own approach or own link.

Placement Experience

1.5

Previously training and placement cell does not work but now a great man at training and placement cell. He does his duty very well so now it is improving exponentially. Placement is not one person job, it is a job of group of people but this is not done in our college. But still quality of placement very few.

Fee Structure And Facilities

One big reason for taking admission in this institute is it's fee structure. Fees at that time when i took admission that was 26000 only for 6 month. Not any extra hostel charges only mess fee every month 2300. Admission fee , library fee and hostel charge all includes in 26000.

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not know much about it but i can say few of my friends get a scholarship based on their entrance exam marks.

Campus Life

3

Campus life is too good not any type of unfair between students. We all living their as family and friends. Gender ratio approx very large. Number of boys are more as compared to girl. Diversity is good. Students are from different -2 location some from U.P, Bihar , PUNJAB , M.P, Tamil, Mum etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel facilities are excellent. Good wifi speed. 13 Hostels all are with approx 300 rooms. Road , water purifier , electricity etc all are available in this campus. Class rooms are also good and clean everywhere in campus. Too many trees and one small lake also in our campus.

Alumni/Alumna

If i will talk my experience then it is two part first 2.5 year good and last 1.5 year worst in last 1.5 year i waste my days but currently I am at this position because of my 2.5 year. Alumni are good but not more supportive. Seniors are also not more in supportive.

Exam Structure

It is chilled out exam. Some of teachers exam pattern may be affect you but 95 % chilled out exam. One more advantage it is Deemed University so you can understand better things are adjustable. You can prepare any competitive examination here. All exam papers are very simple.

Admission

Anyone can get entry in this institute by two methods 1 st SET ( Sliet enterance test) and second by JEE Main. I had taken admission here through JEE Main my score was 95/360. Not any interview or extra test required after qualified entrance test. Once entrance cleared you can take admission in specific branch according to you score.

Faculty

1.5

Faculty is well educated in mechanical. They all are from iits nits or other good colleges but not all are interested in teaching. If i talk about C.S branch then very bad faculty in C.S department. Food good, mechanical, E.C good. Science department is very good.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
