Likes

Good social life as we get to meet students from across the Nation
The ambiance of the campus is quite peaceful and nice
The infrastructure and facilities available are really good

Dislikes

The climate is often harsh at certain times of the year
The bus facilities are quite bad as availability is not timely
Certain restrictions are imposed on food delivery applications disallowing them from entering the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

The course covers most of the subject area's base. It covers base knowledge on physics, maths and chemistry. The lab sessions are really useful and is helpful for future research purposes. Exams are conducted semester wise and also includes practicals and internal exams.

Internships Opportunities

KMML has provided me an opportunity to do internship in their quality control lab. The internship gave chance to observe and study about the functioning of the said industry and to witness the modes of operation.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for semester ranges around 9000 to 10000 and fee hikes are not frequent. Other fee includes students amenities and other lab fee. Scholarships are available for eligible students as per the National scholarship programme. Internship opportunities are available for students under the guidance of well equipped faculties and infrastructure.

Campus Life

Many cultural events as well as events that go hand in hand with academics. Events like science day, exhibitions are conducted in the department. Other cultural events of various states like onam, pongal, diwali, holi etc. are conducted in the university. Student run groups are available for students to interact with each other.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are shared by two students. Rooms include all basic facilities. Rooms are well lit and ventilated. The food is decent with all types of menu, both north and south indian. The hostel fees are really affordable at 2000 per semester.

Hostel Fee: INR 4000 per year

Admission

Clearing CUET is the eligibility for the exam. Application forms can be found in CUET website. Exams are conducted every year. Plus two level knowledge is required for the exam. Admission process is really long and tiresome.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course covers the basic of the subjects and we have not gained advanced knowledge. Although well prepared, it was difficult to attend the entrance exam in other institution. Practicals are less than theory. So the course should give more deep knowledge about the subjects and also practical knowledge.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good enough with average package of 2-2.5 lac per annum. I was more interested into further masters study so didn't borther much about participating in college placements. but one of my college friend was in HSS department got into HR of 11 lac package per annum.

A Hidden Story of Central University of Tamilnadu

I applied for the other colleges like Banaras Hindu University and Allahabad University and many other colleges and that colleges are quite old and they have some reputation and name of their academic background and their curriculum. I didn't get admission their because of my low marks as i am from general category and for general category the cutoff is very high and so that i had given the CUET exam that is common University Entrance Exam and that therough i got my college Central University of Tamilnadu. I didn't get any rejection from any other college i choosen this college. During my admission, the exam was CUCET. I had a score of 212. I got admission in the first allotment itself. I guess the cut-off was around 150 for general category students that year.
