Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum has been designed perfectly by the most experienced teachers. It is designed in such a way which copes up with the modern trends in chemistry. They have also made sure that the curriculum helps the students to progress in research oriented work.

Internships Opportunities

4

Almost 100% of the students of my department perform internships because it is now considered mandatory in our curriculum. It could be in various highly rated institutes like IITs, IISERs, NITs, JNCASR, CSIR laboratories and many other industries as well. Stipend may range from 0 to 10000 depending on hyour skill and expertise.

Placement Experience

3

Regarding my course about 10 to 20% students get placed in firms like TCS, Aakash Byjus, Federal Bank, Infosys etc. About 60% students continue with higher studies as our course is a research oriented course. The research of students prepare for competitive exams like GATE, NETand other central government exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees and hostel fees in the university is very much affordable as the university is a central government funded university. The university allots a variety of state and central government scholarship like the egrantz to support the economically and socially backward classes. Complete cost of education for 5 years including hostel fees and mess food may come around 4 lakhs which is a very reasonable one.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is quite good. You can have beautiful night walks. Due to very less pollution, wehave an ultra clear sky. Not to mention the sky here during dusk and dawn is extremely beautiful. We have an annual cultural fest known as the Aarambh. Library is one of the best libraries in the whole of India. Sports facilities include indoor: badminton, table tennis and outdoor: basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, handball etc. Students run groups: Students council and Freedom Speakers Study Circle, both aiming the well-being of studnts in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities is decent for the rent. No extra facilities like laundry, hot water etc. All basic facilities are made available. Hostel fees is Rupees 2000/- per semester excluding food. Rented facility near the university near the college is around 3500/- per room excluding food.

Admission

During my admission, the exam was CUCET. I had a score of 212. I got admission in the first allotment itself. I guess the cut-off was around 150 for general category students that year. Now admission is via CUET entrance test. I am not sure about the present cut-off marks. Admission process is simpe and transparent. Difficulty level of exam is moderate.

Faculty

5

Faculty members in my deparatment are highly qualified and experienced. All of them are highly determined and self-motivated researchers. All faculty memberes are greatly experienced in their area of research. faculty to student ratio in my department will be around 1/20. All faculties are PhD and post doctorate fellows. Their approach to teaching and mentorship is very positive. Teachers are very much approachable and available for interaction at any time of our choice.

Other Applied Colleges

Central University of Karnataka - [CUK] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Maths, Physics and Chemistry)

Was farm away from my locality and more inaccessible compared to my present college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this college because of its NIRF Ranking, but trust me it's not worth it. The college infrastructure is very old. They don't provide proper classrooms and tutors are not very good. Some are good some aren't. Internal exams are easy and are conducted in the same classroom but sem end is conducted properly.
