Course Curriculum Overview

4

Nowadays computer industry is growing at faster pace. So there are a lot of opportunities in this field. That's why i opted for this course. Academics in my course is really good, all teachers are phd holders and they trach us with real world applications. We have our labs practical regularly. We have done a lot of case studys too. Well some teachers don't know how to teach but there are many good too. So cant give a rigid statement about teachers. Exams are conducted semester wise. Though tests are conducted every month. And last year my one teacher who tought digital image processing, almost covered each and every topic in class only and we didn't need to study from any other sources.

Placement Experience

4.5

In 2nd year student can apply for placement. Based upon their own abilities and worth. We can choose internships in 3 and 4 sem and placement in 5th and 6th sem. There come a lots of companies every year more with internship opportunities with stipend on average 15000 For placement, average package in around 7-8lakh. Almost 50% of my seniors were placed in reputed companies and others go for higher education. I want to do mba after this course so I haven't sit for any interview yet. But there was a mock interview series conducted by the placement cell where teachers were there and they told us and corrected us what shouldn't we say and what how to be more presentable.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have knowledge about hikes in fees, because its same from last 3 years. In first year our fees was 42000 including examination fees, but in our college examination fee has to be submitted separately on another portal so after complaint they refunded our money. Complete cost of my course is (39k for one year and 1000+1000 semester) so total 41k in a year. In our course half of the classes held in labs so fees is a bit higher, but in bcom ba courses its less than 10000 yearly. College also provide scholarship, on the basis of financial conditions of family and it's around 5-6000 in my course last year.

Campus Life

3.5

Annual fest is arohana, and this year is was going very smoothly but polical parties ruined. They didn't allowed dj to come in first place, and they had a fight with cultural society 'hyperion' and after a lot of chaos, there was a dj next day. So society is good but under union council they somehow can't make it happen. In our couse, all technical facilities are available, but for other courses, nothing. Earlier Sports ground was given on rent to some other academy and no pgdav student was allowed to go and play there, but from last 6 months it's not same. We can play ans sit ans roam around in ground now. Other sports facilities are also given, there are trials for cricket football volleyball basketball teams and their proper coaching happens

Admission

There were very less colleges offering my course, so my options were reduced. And i was from the covid batch so there was bit higher competition than expected. I took admission in 95 cut off, it was based on our 12th class marks only, but from next year all courses admissions were on the basis on cuet exam. Well overall eligibility is 50% marks in all subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is too good. As my course is life sciences so instead of learning about only one core subject like in botany hons and zoology hons course, we get chance to learn about zoology, botany and chemistry simultaneously. That Also unlock a large no. of opportunities for my future. Acc to me the ratio of practical lab and theory classes should be increased like we only get 1 lab for one core subjects in a week so I think this no. Should be increased so that we can get more practical knowledge. The difficulty level of exams are too much High like it seems we're hons course students that should be decreased.

Campus placements are for commerce background mostly, usually in 3rd year you might see some placements. I don't know exactly about thr company who visited because I wasn't enrolled in that particular course. Campus placements percentage is very low to be honest . 10-20% mostly. I'll pursue masters.
