Likes

The campus itself is a beauty. The markets are good too.
Sports facilities too are very good with synthetic tracks.
The teachers are helpful too. They just help in projects.

Dislikes

The datesheets for exams are messed up and not good
The night entry time for hostels is 8:00pm which should be increased
The quality of mess food is also a thing that i dont like

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is actually a bit challenging is some aspects. It actually focuses on th current hottopics like ai/ml or any other new technologies which help to get a job in that field like cloud computing, IOT, cyberforensics etc.

Class Size: 32Course Fees: INR 2500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

For internships, companies like Accenture, Infosys, BlackRock, JP Morgan etc visited the campus for the roles of SDE and priduct management too. The capstone project is the final project that helps in grabbing such opportunities.

Placement Experience

The placements are just fine. Students are eligible for placements in 7th sem. Companies like Google, Amazon, microsoft etc visit the campus for recruitment. The highest package for CSE this year was around 42lacs and lowest is maybe around 6-7lacs For CSE. Due to recession, aout 40% students have been placed till now.I'd be doing a job after this degree if I get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

the complete cost after 4 years is about 25 lacs including everything rather it be tuition fee. hostel fee etc. Scholarships of upto 2 lacs per semester is also provided to the toppers. There are many campus employments too like becoming an embassador which would give you a stipend of about 5k per month. I believe the fee is very high.

Campus Life

The camous life is amazing. An event named Saturnalia is organised every year in which renowned artists are invited. The library named Nava Nalanda library has almost all books and is the greatest library in North India.Sports is also a crucial point in camous life, so an. event named Urja is organised too every year in which students showcase their skills

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are amazing. Mess quality is average but the menu is great. Cold coffees and hot coffees are provided too. Hostels affordability ranges from 30-50k per semester depending upon whicch hostel you want to take.

Hostel Fee: INR 110000 per year

Admission

The admission process was easy. Just had to fill the form with our credentials like jee score and boards score in pcm. The cutoff for CSE was around 98 percentile in 2021 for general category. The aspect that I didn't like was that there was no phone number of college with which we could talk or something.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Placement Experience:

My plan is to pursue masters but placements at LPU are best. Over 100 tech comapnies have tie-ups with our university and all of them are of highest regard. From Code tech to Flipkart and Google every big tech company come to our campus. Student have bagged packages close to 1 crores as well from LPU campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. I had a really nice percentile of 98.9 in jee mains but what happend is i intentionally wanted to score 69 in boards i didnt know about the 75 percent jee mains criteria i got 69.7 i like to call it 69.69 but i messed up so i applied in vit as well and srm and thapar i got in all of them after giving there respective tests on the same fees but i chose thapar was better after some consultation with my relatives who are in this field and know people in this field i got admission in the end on basis on jee only in thapar and the experience is well...Read More
