Likes

Campus life - one can choose to do whatever they want to do with the freedom, classrooms departments , reading room access is good one
Cultural events and fests by different departments or inter departmental are good
Conferences and association meetings presentation give chance to make contacts

Dislikes

Mess food - it was almost the one of most horrible things i came across
Exchange programs should be encouraged in every department which is limited as of now
Soft courses and the rigidity of the schedule

Course Curriculum Overview

DBT curriculum is generally followed Including subjects like biochemistry Techniques in biotechnology Genetics, few bioinformatics courses are alright Flexibility in schedule and soft courses would be better choice to go for if provided

Class Size: 24Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Summer internships are encouraged in our department people can apply on their own and can join ,final projects in other departments you can go for it outside but in ours we have to do it from our own University

Fees and Financial Aid

Total course fee comes around 40k M.Sc biotechnology is DBT supported program hence per month stipend of 5k is granted for the students of this course Hostel and mess fee comes around the same On campus placements are generally limited people go for research or off campus placements

Campus Life

Campus life in PU is lifetime experience for one There are ample opportunities for other activities like dance or music or every other thing Dance club is there In terms or cultural event PU celebrate everything from pongal to onam to holi makes it breathable environment for everyone

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are provided on nominal rates of 1k for boys and no hostel rent for girls Mandatory mess is there charges for which are affordable Non Ac sharing basis rooms are provided with basic facilities And troubleshooting is good enough

Admission

Admission in Masters in biotechnology is through National entrance exam GAT-B held once a year in month of April Cut-off varies every year Rank of under 100 AIR or UR Eligibility of course is bachelor's

Pondicherry university: A perfect blend of academics, campus life, and affordability.

Placement Experience:

at pondicherry university ,students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd semister.companies like tcs,infosys,wipro, visit campus offer jobs in software development and testing.the highest packagge is around 4-6lpa.70-80 percdnt students get placed.after completing my degree i plan secure a good job in it.

Studying in a vacation town

Course Curriculum Overview:

The most important point is it's similarity to NET CSIR joint examination. After the end of 3 semesters, if you study properly, you will be able to solve 70% csir c section with accuracy. As laboratory is not prioritized, you will have to struggle for real life experience. But inside info: you can tag along with scholars to get the hands on experience. Frequency of examination is too much with all the internals and all. Difficulty level is manageable as per masters.
