Remarks :

One of the finest universities on food science courses in the central university. Only those students with a food science background in there bachelor's degree are eligible for admission to food science course in Pondicherry University. There are two courses available on food science at Pondicherry University under the Food Science and Technology department there are, MSC. FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION and MSC. FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. For Nutrition, there are 50 seats, and for Technology 25 seats are available for students. Admission only through CUET PG all India level exam conducted by NTA. Reservation criteria only through guidelines given by the Government of India. The academics are divided into two semesters in a year. Exams are conducted twice a year and results will be published within 7-9 days after completing the semester examinations. The course duration is 2 years (4 semesters).

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose an MSc in FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION at Pondicherry University. This university provides a variety of subjects that will benefit identity and interaction with various opportunities in industries and various other food science branches. The will course provide practical-oriented subjects that will help you in the future. The food science sector is improving branch because of that course should be updated frequently. The course duration is 2 years including 4 semesters. Yearly two semester examinations conducted Odd semester examinations and Even semester examinations. Odd semester examinations are mostly conducted before December and Even semester examinations are conducted mostly before May month.

Class Size : 35Course Fees : INR 26600 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There will be tution fees have to pay on each semester. In the first semester around Rs. 24K, in the second semester Rs 3.2K, in the third semester Rs. 13.7K and for the fourth and last semester Rs. 3.2K have to pay each semester. Semester examination fees have to be paid separately, for each credit point only 16 rupees according to a number of credits in each semester will vary the examinations fee. Hostel fees also have to pay separately, food charges are only 74 rupees per day. All national and state scholarships are available at this university.

Campus Life :

There were many festivals celebrated in the university. There were also many books and journals available in the library. Many technology-based things, sports, clubs, and and good environment are available for students

My Experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I'm studying is Disaster Management. The course structure is perfect with knitting our knowledge in disasters both in scientific aspects as well as social aspects. The GIS course is really appreciative as this will be further useful fo us students as a future disaster manager. Though the field practices are less, we will be having a project only semester during our last sem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good, matching with international standards. NEP 2020 is also followed in this campus. As this is matching international standards mean that it is good for future also. Teacher will teach with power point presentations and you have to give power point presentation for internal assessment and monthly test evaluation will be done. Internal examination value is 40% and end semester value is 60%. If you studied well you will score good. Average marking is 8.2 CGPA in department of Biotechnology.

The syllabus is very light for applied psychology in this university. There are only 3 semesters which have written exams. The last semester is just project and viva.One factor i liked about the curriculum is that in the third semester we can choose our specialty based on our interests.there are 3 options counselling clinical and industrial psychology.
