Dislikes
- No gap in exams , there should be at least one day gap between two exams .. but most of the time 4 exams get over in a week.
- Professor interaction with the students are not well enough to care about students mental health.
- Unavailability of pure veg canteen in the campus .
Course Curriculum Overview
Nice research facility throughout the course and along with that nit Rourkela hold a good Nirf rank in research. Area of improvement is like they should not teach us the workshops or some of the courses that will never going to help in future studies Exams after every 2 months in 4 month semester. Mid sem and end sem are there. With no gap in between exams .
Placement Experience
From 3rd semester. I don't really know about offers and companies as of now but on the website one can check it all out. Highest package : 40 lac in cse branch . Avg 22 lpa in cse. 50 percent students will placed if maintain good cgpa. I will persue higher studies after this .
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is not that much difficult to understand .. As of mine .. In int. Msc in mathematics I have to pay 113000 for first year and then 88000 for the consecutive years. Scholarships one can avail are central level , state level or more. Along with that institutes alumni network provide us some scholarship by alumni networks. Complete cost of education for 5 years will be around 6 lacs.
Campus Life
Innovision in November, 3 days technical fest with dj night and many more technical events . Cosmopolitan in January , multi ethnic fest , 3 days , to show ethnicity and unity in diversity. Nitrutsav, cultural fest , 3 days , dj night , many club events and love in air. In library one can get max 4 book issue for 21 days after that renew them . Sports facility are nice , a swimming pool is there also.
Hostel Facilities
Lan network 24 7 for free wifi . Light facility 24 7 . Tables and chairs per person . Room Cleaning service every sunday. Washing machine for laundary. Gym. Book store. Separate day and night canteens. Newspapers of each language daily . Table tennis tables . Badminton court.inside hostel. Mess facility. Meal quality is good . Affordable.. 5000 per semester
Admission
Admission by jee mains exam in int. Msc in mathematics course as of mine . Eligibility: 12th pass + jee mains qualified. Application process is easy and after counseling we will get the college . Cut off is decent as per the college value. I do not like the counselling process.
