Remarks

As our university in interior place with no city facilities, We are facing problems with travelling to university and also canteen food. Students infact stay hungry the whole day.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for the entrance examination of the central university of Orissa in 2014 for biodiversity course. I wanted to do my higher studies through regular course and in my way I got to know that university is nearer to me and I will be able to attend classes regularly. I was also very interested in the new course. I opted for this college as it has a brand of its name, its a central university and what else could I ask for, its very prestigious. The interview was not done for us, we were selected through our score in the entrance, where I scored 42 out of 100.I was not prepared but still was able to clear

Internships Opportunities

Not sure of this too. I am in my 3rd sem and internship is not for all the departments, because in the fourth semester we have such designed course that we can't go outside for any internship to do this we have to miss the very classes which we are not allowed and attendance will be less, and sitting for the exam will be prohibited. this is a loss for us. nut journalism department can opt for an internship not the other department students.

Placement Experience

2.5

I am not quite sure about placements. Placements are yet to come as our university is 6years old now. it is taking time to establish itself. mass communication and journalism department is getting placements and no other is getting placements. we are only hearing that at the end of the semester we will be placed, but nowhere to go after that. after graduating we either opt for higher studies or opt for other private jobs not related to what we had studied in university.

College Events

2.5

Each and every festival are celebrated like Holi, teacher's day, Christmas, Gandhi Jayanti etc. etc. Foundation day, Ganesh Puja, Saraswati Puja. Or register and other official are always present on these occasions. Students and professor exchange talks and discuss on important topics and how to cope up with it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a central university fee structure is affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarships for st/sc students from university, they only forward our scholarship to state level. We dont get anything directly only from university.m.phil and phd students do get stipend from university.i dont have any idea about loans.

Campus Life

2

There are extra activities, but rarely ant students participate. We have labs, but no chemicals. We organize seminars regularly. girls are more than boys. Hostels are well, but is very interior for students. We all get together very well with all students from all the departments.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel is good, but still students face problems as sometimes there is water shortage, electricity availability and food not up to mark.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is not yet started, but planning are on. We will soon be having our alumni. our senior students are of amazing support. We are always under their shadow. They help us in every way possible. Whenever approached, they never deny. We are like best friends. Now, as we are in 3rd sem we miss our seniors who passed out this year, leaving us alone but we are all still in touch. We are in touch with each and all through Facebook, gmail or chat over phone frequently. now also they clear our doubts, make us worries and help us to make best out of the courses.

Exam Structure

We have 4 semester exams with 3 mid terms from which best two are selected. In this way we always stay booked with studies.

Course curriculum is very good at niser and are comparable to some foreign institutes. There are world class facilities available for you and the labs are the main insights here. But you have to be somewhat attentive regarding your exams as exams are easy to moderate level.

I personally like the contemplative aspect of this course that isn't available at any other universities, this fact itself makes this university unique on itself and it helps with your mental health and it's truly amazing considering that we're students of psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become a lecturer so i choosed the royal course Masters in zoology rather than any other specialisation course. And the course Masters of Science in Zoology, Botany is provided by very few private universities in Odisha and AIPHU is one of them i think probably the best one. Faculty do come and leave but there replacement is done simultaneously. The faculty student ratio is normal. Most of the faculty members have completed there PhD as well as Post Doctorial research from foreign universities and medical. Our faculty focus on building strong foundation. They start from basics and teach the difficult topics in very simpler way. We have two midterms each of 1 hours and of 100points which get converted to 20 marks. And one endterm of 50 marks and 10 marks for internal assessment. Midterms are brainstorming but it makes us thorough in specific units which makes endterm exam easier.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this allows me to delve deeper into the passion for understanding animal life and their biological processes. Secondly, this is also a step towards my goal to become a researcher. The faculty members at our university are very dedicated, highly qualified, with their post-docs from a renowned university and are very cooperative. They teach us in a very friendly way, and their passion for research enriches the academic environment. The difficulty level for term exams is medium, neither too hard nor too easy, and requires hard work.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I much interest in it. Student faculty ratios is good as per availability. Professor are available most of the time. They are all very qualified and are hired as per the minimum requirements criteria of the college. Exams are semester-wise and happen biannually. It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't study properly throughout the year.
