Course Curriculum Overview

This course includes wide range of topics like database management systems, web development, machine-leaining, secure software systems, operating systems, and various core subjects which I liked, hence I chose this course. The Faculty:student ratio is 1:20 and all faculty are highly qualified with research and practical experience in various computer science engineering fields and their teaching methods are good. Term exams are conducted every 2 months..

Class Size: 130Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester. Many renowned companies visit campus during each hiring season. Highest package offered was 58LPA and average package is 12LPA. Placement percentage is around 92%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is a bit high compared to other IIIT's and NIT's as institute receives less funds from government and has to rely more on fees. No scholarships or financial assistance is provided in campus but they help in applying for different beneficial schemes and education loans. Students can get upto full fee under education loan from banks without any collateral requirement under certain schemes.

Campus Life

Campus is very lively and rich in greenery with modern infrastructural facilities. Annual fest is conducted in around march and annual tech fest is conducted in around october. Campus has vast ground with many sports facilities. Classrooms are equipped with modern amenities. Many clubs like litsoc, beta labs, cyber security club, sports club, robotics club, etc. are run by students.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels have good infrastructural facilities like bed, study table, ethernet cables, a washing machine and water purifier per wing and more. Meal quality is high and menu covers wide varieties of dishes. Registration process is easy and will be assisted by supportive staff and affordability is reasonable. Locality is full of friendly native malayalees, and you need to look after transportation yourself if you choose to rent a room or PG.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

Candidate has to qualify JEE Mains with above 95% and must qualify 10+2 with above 50% as well to get admission in IIIT Kottayam. College does not provide any reservation benefits in any form on it's own. The admissin process is hasslefree and straightforward as directed by NTA.

An honest college review

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements. The top recruiters in it sectors are Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Tata Elxsi, Accenture, Oracle, Amazon, Wipro, UST GLOBAL, IBM. The top recruiters in other sectors are Mu Sigma, Ernst and young,, federal Bank, h and r block. Most of the placement are in it and related sectors. The average package is 4 to 6 lpa.The highest package is 34 lpa in Amazon. In 2024, 35 percent of students got placed. I will look to get campus placement in a reasonable package or I will try to get jobs by other means.

They provide placement packages from a minmum of 4lpa to 12 lpa.. But most of the students got 4 lpa packages, it is very difficult to crack higger packages, but most of the cs students got placement andd students of other departments palcement is not good.

The college provides excellent placement prospects for high-performing students. A multitude of reputable companies actively recruit from our institution, making it a premier destination for career opportunities in Kerala. While assured placement is offered to students with minimal or no backlog papers, others are also placed, albeit with comparatively lower annual packages. Majority of the talented students are placed in Cognizant and TCS Ninja with an average annual package of 10 to 12 lakh. I actually plan to pursue higher studies after Btrch.

My College days

Remarks:

I loved my department. But some of the management decisions made bad impacts on students and they hate the college. Faculties were good. As I already said 4 to 5 professors were so good in teaching and rest of them makes the learning experience a nightmare.

no placements but good to explore your interests
