Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Bcom Honours is one of the best undergraduate course in whole Delhi University. It has highest placement and diversification and specialisation. I have selected this course because of its exclusive benefits and most importantly I have sole interest in this course. Earlier Bcom Honours was 3 years long degree but after New Education Policy it has became 4 years long degree in all colleges of Delhi University. Students have to study three core subjects in the first semester namely Business Law, Financial Accounting and Management Principles and Applications. In my college there are very qualified and experienced faculty members for Bcom Honours, they teach in very simple and proficient manner. They always encourage students to stand out of crowds and hold their real skills and talent. Aryabhatta college has good faculty and students ratio, there is 1 teacher upon 50 students in college. Every teacher holds minium B.Ed and majority of teachers have PhD in the related field.

Placement Experience

3.5

Aryabhatta college provides good placements opportunities to its students . It has a placement cell which invites reputed companies from various fields to recruit eligible and qualified candidates. Students can become eligible from sixth semester to participate in college placements drives. In the year 2023 so many companies like Wipro, Infosys, Zomato, Tata, E and Y, etc. had came for recruiting candidates for various roles like accountant, manager, content writer, sales executive , etc. The average placement was upto 500000 per annum and median placement was like 480000 per annum and highest was 1800000 per annum. Approximately 130+ students got placed in placement drive. It is true that only students of courses like Bcom Honours, Bcom program and Economics Honours get placements in college we do not see placements of other courses students. Not all the students wants placements after graduation some starts doing their higher education while some start their business.

Fees and Financial Aid

Aryabhatta college is very affordable college for students. It provides various courses that have very low annual fees. I don't know about other courses but I can mention the fees structure of Bcom Honours..... 1st year - 15000 2nd year- 12000 3rd year- 12000 4th year - 12000 Generally everyone can afford the minimal fees of Aryabhatta college but if someone is not capable of affording it then in such cases college provides various scholarships and financial assistance to needy and eligible candidates. College provides scholarships like Prime Minister National Scholarship, Ravindra Nath Tagore Scholarship, All India Scholarship for Backward Classes, etc. Our college is funded by government that's why it has no fees hike policy. Generally students who have came from outside Delhi have to pay rent of paying guests and flat in which they want to stay. College also provides campus jobs to students who have completed their 3rd year and helps them to get placed in reputed companies.

Campus Life

4

Aryabhatta college has various campuses, it has separate campus for Science, Commerce and Arts. According to me there are over 2000 students in the college so college campus and environment is very energetic and diversed. We can find students from various cultures, religions and places, it makes the environment very interesting and democratic. Aryabhatta college has very good and reliable infrastructures like canteen, sports grounds, library, auditorium, well equipped classrooms and laboratories. Because every college of Delhi university has societies related to various activities so Aryabhatta college also has societies like debating, dancing, singing, writing and travelling in which students can participate and hone their skills. College also has NCC in which students can participate and prepare for future. College organise various fests and events regularly to give new experiences to its students. Generally one can find fests in the months of March, April and June.

Admission

Admission process to get into prestigious colleges of Delhi University is very smooth and easy to understand. To get admission into Delhi University along with many other central universities one should have apply for an entrance examination called Central University Entrance Test (CUET). Firstly one have to visit Cuet samarth website for filling application form then in the application form you have to fill your personal, academics and category details and attach required documents and pay the required fees. For general category it is 1500 rupees and for other reserved categories it is comparatively low. For 2024 attempt application form will be open from March till April. NTA has responsibility to conduct this examination at national level, generally NTA commence examination in the month of May and June. Students of any stream (Science, Commerce , Art) can fill the application form. There are various relaxation for reserved category in the examination form in terms of cutoffs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

The course ciriculum for bcom is good and covers major aspects like accounts, business law, management, ethics. It help understand the basic concepts and useful for future studies Ciriculum is relevant but somtimes it feel more theory based rather than a practical aprroach. More practical exposure and skill based subjects can be added There might be some needed improvement in teaching as we learn account's and management it feels boring teacher can make it interesting if theu improve their methods Exam happens every 4 month after the end semester the timing of exam is good my 1st sem happened at the December whole month the difficult was not much high my account paper was difficult as it was more tricky but the difficult was managable

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell within the colleges but numerous are not dynamic and those who are dynamic do not offer great arrangements. As it were Srcc , LSR or St. Stephens offer pleasant placements. Most colleges offer arrangements between 3 - 4 lacs but over said colleges can give you situations with normal 8 lacs. But, I would prescribe you to not go for placements but higher things because it will increment your information and assist you to advance in your work and do it effectively whereas doing work fair after graduation will not allow you to regard merely continuously needed in the corporate world.
