Likes

In Academy of Technology there are lots of steam like EE, EEE .All the faculty members are so good that I like most.
Just college give access to play and to use sports equipments.
The colleges situated in 500 m of the nearest station.

Dislikes

The college faculty create pressure on student.
The strictness is the college is like a primary school.
The college and the university has fixed to maintain 75% attendance for each student.

I choose this stream for my family background. Faculty members are very very strict but helpful. Nowadays 5-6 students are allocated to do project work. The strength is 42 students with lateral in my year.

The college provides internship opportunities after 6 semester. Some of the faculty members have connected to a students of college and contact them to provide internship for the current year session students.

Placement Experience

The college provides campus placements according to the market of IT sector. the college mainly tied up with TCS. Other companies like Accenture, Godrej, KPIT and many other companies came to our campus and took minimum 2 students to maximum 350 students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college shows that your fee structure will be completed within 80000 up to 85000 but there is a additional fees for training purpose that is 10000 rupees that will be charged in even semester. Students from West Bengal can apply for SBMCM scholarship and get this scholarship when your CGPA will be above of 6.75.

Campus Life

The colleges specially focused only on education they does not support co curriculum activity activity. Every year college conduct a fest of 2 days on daylight that named arcadia. The campus is not so big.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel provides the mail and the residence in the rooms. Hostellers have some facility like to play volleyball, gym ,basketball till 8:00 p.m. The rooms are well and warden and security guards are there for each time.

Hostel Fee: INR 84000 per year

Admission

I cleared the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam, ranked 55000, appeared for counselling, and then took AOT. Then I connected through the mobile no provided on the website. They told me to visit campass. I visited the campass and they provided me with the fee structure and told me to report my bio-data. I provide them. And then admitted.

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.

Everything that shines is not always gold but also not always coal

i chose this college on the basis of that they offer us really good placements but from 2020-2024 the placements have gradually dropped due to recession and the percentage that college shows is based on the thing that is for example if 10 students are eligible for placements and also if 7 of them havent got any job and the other 3 got 3..4 job offers then they show it as more than 100% placement, which we came to know later but its also not their fault as the job market is really not good these days. comparing to other colleges the placement record of 2024 is really low as of latest....Read More
