Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

1)I chose CSE because I like and want to be working and involved in technical and logical perspectives of computers and its digital application 2)The faculty to student ratio is about 1:75 3)Faculties are postgrauduates plus some are phd holders. Their teaching style is flexible and understandable. 4)The term exams are conducted on correct scheduled times along with the continous assessments both in class as well as in labs. Well it is not so diificult to pass,as they are moderate. 5)The training teachers are excellent along with some exceptional professors and assisstant professors.

Placement Experience

4

Generally students from 7th semester onwards become eligible for placements, mentioned that they do not have any backlog in thier previous semester papers. Generally companies like Peristent,Tismo Technology solutions,IBS software,Trianz Digital Consulting,KPIT,Capgemini,CTS,Concentrix ,Cloud Kaptan,Virtusa and many other mechanical and electrical sector companies come to hire candidates. Highest package comes for KPIT as 17lpa,Persistent as 9lpa,same for TCS digital qualifiers, Average package is 4-4.5lpa I plan to take up job and prepare for higher studies specifically outside of India but will be okay in tier 1 colleges for masters or research assistantships.

Fees and Financial Aid

The approx per semester fee is around 42000 and on even semesters till 6th we need to pay extra 10000-12000 for skill development and training. The total cost of studying is around 450000 for people who are not coming under tuition fee waiver category. Though people who have authentic income certificate of annual income within 250000 category they get swami vivekananda scholarship of around 60000 annually. Also some people who do not get this can get national scholarship or central sector scholarship of around 50000-70000. By developing skills and gaining knowledge from subjects we can apply to some small comapnies and startups and get paid on our internship or freelancing.

Campus Life

4

We have our awesome annual fest called 'Arcadia' conducted every year in the month of April, where many famous singers like Sonu Nigam,Armaan Malik and so on come. There is plenty of books related to engineering and technology along with many scientific journals and papers are available in the library, though the distribution of books system is little abstract, but the reading is okay. Our normal classrooms have benches, lights, fans, board, windows for fresh air,but in some we have projectors for digital studying facility ,though some teachers already bring projectors from staff assistance . There is availability of gym, basketball, football and volleyball games. There are groups like Resourcio community,Student chapters of various departments,Google developer student clubs AOT active and conduct various events and is very helpful for students in this industry 4.0

Admission

1)Needs WBJEE/JEE Mains rank along with 10th and 12th pass qualification. 2)Upon WBJEE counselling session starting if a student got the college he/she needs to report for physical verification and take admission where he/she shall get that on basis of allotment letter. The admission charges along with fees of 1st semester is around 70000 INR. But if he/she wants to take via JEE Mains then needs to contact college during that timing only. 3)There is reservation for castes like sc/st/obc in the tuition fee waiver category. 4)Well the admission process is okay as of now.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft. The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles, finance in some cases. The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
