Course Curriculum Overview

The teachers are very nice. There wasnt ample time to prepare for the exams but the syllabus was too vast and it was difficult to finish in 2-3 days that was given. The exam pattern was moderate. The class size is about 180 students .

Class Size: 25Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are available from 6th semester onwards for students which is mandatory to complete the btech degree. The stipend is usually more than 1 lakh per month. Various companies gather interns during placement season.

Placement Experience

Thapar arranges placements for the final year students offerring avg package of 12lpa for coe students. Internships are offered to third year students to gain industry experience. Almost all the top companies come to thapar for placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees hike is about 1 lakh per semester. The fees is a bit high. Scholarship is offered to students qualifying the criteria or to financially challenged catagory students. We need to score more than 8gpa to qualify for scholarships.

Campus Life

The infracture is first class. It has a very large library, consisting of all the books you can think of. There are many societies here. Classrooms have projectors where the teachers present the study materials.

Admission

I gave the JEE entrance exams and scored 94 percentile and got admission in btech computer engineering. There is provision of reservation for punjabi students about 50% of admission. The admission process is through its own website thapar.edu.

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good and cover every aspects of learning and skills needed in today's time but it feels the semester get over to fast in around 3.5 months with 3 exams and lab exam. They should provide the real learning based on a student interest some student are good in coding but they lack to communicate better, they should focus on that part also as they also do in many cases by giving subjects like soft skills and communication skills every sem.The teacher should not be reading the ppt only . We can do that also why we are paying that much fees just to learn from a teacher who is just reading the slides.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the course curriculum as largely relevant and fairly comprehensive,. one of the main reasons i chose this course was the balance between conceptual foundations and practical exposure. the curricuum supports future academic growth since many of the modules introduce us to advance topics early, making it easier to explore research. some topics feel slightly outdated and could be aligned better with the current industry skills and technologies. the exam schedule is manageable, though sometimes multiple assessments happen in the same week or same day, ehich adds pressure . Spacing out evaluations a bit more and giving clearer rubrics could improve the overall experience

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it.
