Course Curriculum Overview

I chose CSBS because it is an industrial engineering course founded by TCS . So the syllabus is modern and industry relevant. Faculty to student ratio is about 1:60. Many faculties are deeply knowledgeable in their fields and has done Phd.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 104000 per year

Internships Opportunities

You have to search for an internship on your own. The college will only provide projects. You would be divided into groups and asked to create projects on your respective domains. You can search for internship off campus.

Placement Experience

3.5

All the students become eligible for placement after 6th sem only. Many companies visited like TCS, Cognizant, Persistent Systems etc. Highest package is around 8lpa and average package is around 4.5 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is around 10 percent per year. Cost to study for the whole course is around 360000 without scholarship and around 60000 with freeship scheme. There are many government scholarships available for home state students.

Campus Life

There are many books and journals available in the library. Also there is a reading room in the library. All the classrooms are properly equipped and laboratories too. There is coding club also available.

Admission

Through JEE MAINS and WBJEE the college takes admission. 80% seats are through WBJEE and rest 20% through JEE MAINS. There is reservation for SC, ST, OBC and Financially weak students. Application fees is around 500 to 1000 for WBJEE and JEE MAINS

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
