Likes

Faculty Interaction : Student can have good interaction with faculty
Classrooms : Classrooms are equipped with good monitors and audio system
No distraction to study : Student if want to focus on studies, can continue without any distraction

Dislikes

Sports Facilities : A good ground is necessary. And more sports should be included
Mess Food : Mess food requires some improvement.
Canteen : Better and vast canteens are necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview

As I am interested in computers, I chose Computer Science and Engineering. Faculty-Student ratio is 25:1. Maximum faculties are PHD qualified in their respective fields and are good enough to teach their subject. Each Semester contains one mid sem and one end sem, along with assignments and quizzes. Exams are moderate to pass.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 218000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Usually students get placement offers from 3rd year. Several companies offer decent placement and almost every one are placed. Highest package was around 50LPA and average is 10LPA. If you want to do job right after Btech, you can have that opportunity.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total Fees would be around 1,70,000 per semester. And I think, this is little bit on higher side. Educational loans and some Central government scholarships can be availed based on your eligibility. If you are atleast average in studies, you will surely get on-campus placement.

Campus Life

Different fests and clubs are present here. Apoorv is the yearly fest and the main one and other flashmobs etc are also conducted. Clubs range from coding, technical to cultural, dance etc. Classroom Infrastructure is good and Sports Infrastructure need upgrades.

Hostel Facilities

Each room is alloted to 3 students and it is neither too congested not too free. Study table is provided to each student. Hostel food is average and in my opinion, students from other states than Kerala may face some problem.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

IIIT is a central-private parternship institution. It's admission is based on JEE Mains which is held every year. For general category, cutoff is around 97 percentile. Official website regarding JEE Mains is maintained by NTA where we can apply for the exam.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

The college has a very attractive campus and it is very new so the facilities are also relatively new. no placements but good to explore your interests

The only reason I choosed this college is because of it placements but now they are worst for my batch almost 70 percent people are unplaced. and i choosed this college because i wanted cse and either i could get lower branches in top colleges or top branchs in low colleges. so i preffered choosing cse. i applied for NIT Suratkal, NIT Warangal mechanical BUt i felt CSE Would be much better so i end up landing here. the other reason why i preferad my college is because of its beautiful campus. yes i got rejected from nit surathkal cse because my jee rank was low...Read More
