Likes

I liked the curriculum of my program. Also the hostel are decent.
Many big brands come to campus for final placement.
Faculty is experienced and they hold a good amount of knowledge about the course they are teaching.

Dislikes

The life is very fast here you can't get into depth of a subjects here.
Attendance policy is very strict. Below 80% attendance in class students get grade docks
The college gym is not well equipped with machines. Machine operated here are pretty old.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always had a passion for understanding business and data. Since more and more data is generated every moment, I want to develop skills through which i can drive business decision making through use of data. This was the reason i preffered MBA in business analytics.The faculty to student ratio is 1:20. The exam are application based and easy to pass

Class Size: 28Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many big brands like Mondelez, BCG, Accenture Strategy, JP Morgan, Dr Reddy, Deloitte, pwc, HDFC bank, Barcalys, pepsico, Nomura etc come to campus to recruit students for internships. Majority of the roles are from consulting, Marketing and Finance domain.

Placement Experience

The internship companies starts coming to campus with in one month of entering the college. Most of the students gets PPO those who don't get PPO are allowed to sit for final placements. The final placements starts in 5th semester. 100% of batch is placed. There are plenty of oppurtunities in market after completing business analytics course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of study is 24 Lakhs out of which 12 lakhs is tution fess and other component of fees include hostel, student activities fees etc. There are no scholarship. The placement of business analytics program is conducted with PGDM program

Campus Life

Imperium is the annual fest of MDI Gurgaon. The fest takes place in month of feburary. The books are provided by college itself. The classrooms are equipped with Air conditioner and heaters. There is a badminton, tennis court, and football ground in the college itself. There are plenty of student run clubs like Unnati, strategist, Marquity, Thinkc and Monetrix.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are equipped with Air conditioners. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Mess food is good. There is a constant availability of sweepers in the hostel, they clean your room whenever required.

Hostel Fee: INR 300000 per year

Admission

At least 50% marks in 10th and 12th Std, A minimum 3 years bachelor's degree. Applicant must clear cat exam with minimum 75 percentile in each section. Work experience is preferred over fresh graduates.

Interview Experience

There is no Group Discussion for the admission in MDI Gurgaon. There was a initial shortlisting based on cat score and academic profile and then there was personal interview. The PI was based on work experience, current news and trending topics

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum combines the theory as well as practical subjects. The course includes projects and assignements based on the different tools like excel, Power BI, Python, SQL. The course assignments and projects take place in the end of the trimesters for most of the subjects which make it quite hectic to submit them for some subjects overlapping each other.

Placement Experience:

GLIM Placements start from the beginning of 2nd year as till then we are also done with our intenrships. Also, placements here are lesser than that of Chennai but still median of GLIM is around 15 lakhs which is much better than other B-Schools of NCR.

Since my CAT percentile was quite less, 96, and being from a top NIT, I wanted to get into a B-School which could complement my NIT tag, while my fream was a tier - 1 college, my percentile shut all doors. I chose MDI Gurgaon over XLRI Delhi, IIM Shillong, new and baby IIMS, NITIE - PGDSM. The reason for choosing MDI was its proximity to my hometown, Tier 1 status. I was rejected from IIM ABCLKI and FMS - Delhi mostly on the basis of my undergrad scores and a CAT percentile which was not high enough. Internship in ABG !!

You need to appear in the CAT exam. Any percentile over 90%ile with a sectional of 70 70 70 cleared will fetch you a call from MDI Gurgaon. However, to convert core, 96+ is a safe score for non-engg and 98.5+ for GEM. After you get a shortlist, you'll have to appear and fill out a form which MDI-G will send and you can edit your details there. Further, you'll get a PI date.
