AOT is considered one of the good private college, which takes pride in it's building excellence from it's student and making them a well proper human

Dislikes

The attendance criteria I feel like is must mandatory, but it can be reduced a bit. So that the students who want to do it's internships can do without the fear of attendace.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this field because, being in engieering it gives us time to understand what we actually want to be. Try new things and build the career in a field which is actually suited for yourself. A lot of teachers are very educated and well trained. They felt us more welcoming and friendly. Term exams are usually conducted in every months and less. I can't say that passing those exams are difficult because if you follow the teachers study and did some revision yourself you are good to go.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees increases every year by one thousand however, in every even semester till 3rd year, we need to give an extra amount in the name of skill development fee. Different scholarships are provided to students like swami vivekanand scholarships and many more, some governmental scholarships and fee waiver for economically weaker students

Campus Life

There one fest that is conducting every year (Arcadia). There's a library in college which consist of books of all genre. You are also provided with a room where you can study your books in a peace. Football ground, basket ball ground volleyball ground are there for all students. In our college there is a group called Students Chapter for all the departments within college.

Admission

I actually give the WBJEE(West Bengal Joint Enterance Exam) exam in 2022, which is conducted in west bengal itself. All the applicants are need to come to west bengal in order to give this exam. There's a website of wbjee which you can get by searching online about wbjee. Reservation are there for students which are economically backward but it is for those who are from west bengal. I feel like, if more opportunities are there for students not from west bengal it would be very lucerative

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

placement is very good in this college many tech giants vist the campus such as google microsoft delloite apple tata steels, thhe average package is about 16 lpa highest is 80lpa approx 148 companes visted this year and total offer for cse is 157 out of 190

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More
