A life as a DESE IISC student

Course curriculum is on the very difficult side wrt post graduation in IITs. But it's benefit is reflected in the learnings. in our department DESE there is a ratio of 15 :1 students to faculty ratio. The faculty is top notch highly qualified and very professional They can't be described . Exams were timely conducted depending on the professors but the assignments and projects were much more difficult than exams .

I already mentioned in placement details. It's the same please refer to it. Avg CTC is 33 lpa and Max CTC is 51 lpa. Our department doesn't provide internship opportunities because we get industry exposure through workshops all summer from may to June.

3rd semester . Highest package in our department is 55 LPA and average is 33LPA. 100 percent placement. Nvidia,Qualcomm,Intel, AMD,analog devices, edge Q, Cisco, Texas instruments, synopsys and many more. In short companies can't find students as they require more students but students are less here. I am going for placements

As it is a govt college so per semester tution fees is only 14000 . The scholarships are provided as it is one of the most reputed colleges of India. Our department doesn't provide internship as we have industry workshops which is way better than internship. Also placements are 100 percent in our department and it gets completed in 1st week of October with avg CTC of 33LPA in semiconductor industry.

Rhapsody (October) and Pravega (January)are the fests. Books are available in libraries. Amenities in classrooms are average but the classes are smart class. There is ample opportunities to play sports and curricular activites.

Hostels are not very good because they are very old. New hostels are coming up so it will change. The food is the best of all colleges in India U can choose whatever mess u want and also change it anytime . Messes available are North Indian veg, North Indian nonveg, South Indian veg and South Indian nonveg.

Qualification of GATE examination with a good rank for shortlisting. There is a quiz and interview for final selection. It is said but 70-30 percent ratio of gate exam score and interview performance but it really depends on the interview alone. The application form can be found on the website after the COAP registration starts. The college is very good.

Interview was there. It depends on the professors and sometimes on ur major project of btech. So there is no defined direction. They test ur knowledge to solve problems and how we think. I was asked on topics error amplifiers and rectifiers.
