Likes

Placement is very good and we get many opportunity for placed.
Faculty behaviour are good ,they teach very well.
Canteen facility, there foods are very well.

Dislikes

Language barrier ,more student speak local west Bengal; language.
Library have not more books for more students.
Here not any acting club for take part in acting.

I choose this college because its placement is overall good ,its academic fees is more low than any private college. Here faculty are suppotive , but sometime happens language problem for non bengali students. All teachers are either MSc or Phd or both.

Internships Opportunities

Actually college doesn't give any internship oppurtunity ,if you want any internship you have to find it from outside of campus. Here after 6 th semester they give assignments on project and also help for projects.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students are applicable for campus placement. there are many type of company visit like TCS ,Cognigent,KPIT ,Wipro ,etc Here highest package is approx 22 lakh and average package is 4 lakh per annum. Approx 80 % student every year placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure of AOT is approximately 3.5 lakh , and by adding hostel and mess charge you can add more 2.5 lakh rupees for averall 4 years course. There are swami vivekanand scholarship available for west bengal domicile students.

Campus Life

Here annually a tech fest is done by CSE student chapter known as hackathon, Here a mini library ,where you can take books and also study there. Here a basketball and football ground , every year tournament happen. there are student Arcadia club where trained for dance and music.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is very good here ,two or three students can live in a room. In hostel , managed for vegetarian and non -vegeterian students. Meals quality are average. Hostel is near college at distance of 2 minutes.

Hostel Fee: INR 5000 per year

Admission

If you want to take admission in academy of technology , you have to give wbjee exam its maximum cutoff is approx 14000 rank for CSE department ,here tfw candidate also apply . you can also take admission by jee mains examination , its cutoff is approximately 92 percentile for cse.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More
