Review by a student of JSSATE

I have chosen Computer Science and Engineering, mainly because of my interest in coding as well as IT industry is growing in India. Well, there is enough faculty for the students and they solve the doubts whenever they are approached. Most of the faculties have done phd and many have done masters, they teach using projecter and explain each and every topic in a very simple language which is easier for the students to understand. The term exams took place within one month interval and according to me it was enough time given to us to study and prepare for the exams, the teachers ask conceptual questions , but if the students study everyday, it is easy to score good marks.

As mentioned earlier, I haven't done any internships till now, so I don't have any expertise in this, but I have seen many seniors grabing internships, they learn skills based on their domain and upload it on linked in, and apply on internshala for internships. Many projects which I have heard of includes, making clone of apps such as Amazon and flipkart.

If the students have more than 80 percent in class 10 and 12 and over 8 cgpa in every semester till 5th sem, they can sit for placements in the 6th sem itself. Many companies have visited, I can't name all of them but the renowned ones are cognizant, Amazon, kickdrum, juzpay, merceedes-Benz, tcs, razorpay, wipro, decathlon. In our cse department, out of 180 students 137 students were recruitted. Highest package is 45 lpa. Average package is 6 lpa. 100% placement is there for students. My plan is to land a job in a good MNC.

Well, the students who come through COMEDK, give more salary than those who come through KCET, but the course is worth the expense. Currently, I am studying in 2nd year and currently I am working and developing my skills, I know many seniors who have landed jobs in many companies like decathlon, kickdrum, merceedes-Benz, juzpay.

Annual fest which is called verve, it takes place in the month of April. All the books related to our courses are available in the library. Classroiare adequate to fit 60 students comfortably and sufficient windows, fans and lights are there. Yodha, cadence, NSS are the clubs runned by students.

We are provided with a bed, a table and a cupboard in a 3-person sharing room with wifi facility. Well, the meal is fully vegetarian, the quality of food is moderate and menu is different on different days and we also have monthly special on the first week of the month. Hostel Regiatration can be done from the accounts department of the college, they will give a receipt after the fees payment, which you need to show in hostel and they will give you a room.

I have got admission through the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test. The eligibility is 12th pass with pcm. The application form can be found on the site of comedk, application fees was 800,application dates were around April.
