Likes

Aot campus is big and beautiful. A big pond is There.
Aot library is very large. Almost all books are available in the library.
Aot facultys behaviour is very friendly.

Dislikes

The location of aot is very odd, because it situated at Adisaptagram.
Attendance rule provided by University is strictly followed.
In lab there are lots of equipment are damaged.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose ECE because , a ECE student have same opportunity to do a hardware as well as software base job. faculty and students ratio about 1:40. most facultys are passing from IIT and NIT. Almost every month exam is conducted.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 96000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are lots of companies who provide the internship like amazon cognizant TCS etc. Also in 5 or 6 semester there is a factory visit program organised by the college in different states. Lots of students is working with different companies as part time.

Placement Experience

In 7 semester students are eligible for placement. Elegibility criteria is - 60% marks on 10 th, 12th, current semester without any activ backlog. Different companies in are come like amazon , cognizant,TCS etc. I want a IT job after completing the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of aot is very less than others colleges. In every semester fees about 40-44 thousand rupees.For all eligible students Swami Vivekananda merit cums means scholarship is available. There are no financial assistance.

Campus Life

Aot campus life amazing. Annual fest name ARCADIA. This fest is organising on April month. Sports equipments are Sufficiently available. There are lots of coding compitition ad other events organised by different departments students chapter.

Admission

The admission process is basically by 2 entrance exam wbjee and jee mains exam. My wbjee rank about 20405. I selected in 1st round. Reservation is Available. Admission process is very easy. Application from and all things are available in aot official website.

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
