Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I choose CSE cause in today's world the demand of a software engineer is quite high, and also there packages are decent after 1-2 years of experience gained. I don't know the exact ratio figure, bt as of my assumption I think it might be 160:2000 Most of the faculties are Post graduated, there also a big amount of faculties who are PHD holders, there qualifications are quite good, but there teaching methods are not like that much good. The teaches like the old school methods, no upgrading in the teaching system. Term exams are conducted in every month, but they are easy to pass, but the semester exam is a little bit tuff, which held twice in the year.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

CTS, TCS, IBS, KPIT, TRIANZ, PERSISTENT, MINDTECH etc, They offered developers and tester role mostly for CSE and IT students, don't know about the roles of non-IT students. There are task like to develop a website or Android apps for users to solve a daily life problem, Then tester's role is to test that application is work correctly or not.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the starting of the 7th semester students are eligible for the campus placement. TCS, CTS, IBS, TRIANZ, KPIT, MINDTECH, TECH-MAHINDRA etc companies visited on campus, big techs hire 40-50 students, but TCS and CTS hires most of the students. Highest package goes upto 7lpa, and avg package is 3.5lpa, most of the profiles offered are tester or developer. Maximum students got placed, a few amount of students are left unplaced. My plans after getting the degree is to get a good job and make a lots of money in the upcoming year of my life and then travel the world????.

Fees and Financial Aid

In every odd semester we have to pay around 40k for semester, these fees parallely increases with the semester. In every even semester along with the 40k we have to pay a extra 10k for training and other stuffs. In my opinion the overall fees structure is ok as compare to any other private colleges. No scholarship is available from the college, and the stipend of the on campus job is also quite decent compare to the market .

Campus Life

3.5

We call our annual feast 'ARCADIA', It conducted in the month of march Or April, it goes 2 days, and a famous bollywood singer is invited every year, like this year(2023) ARMAN MALLIK came to our campus. There are also tech fest happens in campus which was organized by the college clubs. Yea there is a library on campus, from text book to story book every thing is available there. Sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball are available for anyone who wants to play. Yeas there are many student communities are available for students to organize events.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is quite good, in the room they provide us a single bed, which enough for one person, a fan, a light, a study table, a chair, and to keep goods there is a good space in the wall. Menu is also good, it will decided by the students of 3rd and 4th year. But the quality of the food is not good. You have to apply separately for the hostel, and the affordability is upto you as it costs around 5k (room rent 2k + food cost 3k). But as per my personal opinion the hostel rooms are quite good compare to the mess outside campus. There is no problem with the locality if you rent PG, bt you have to face power cut problem as it is common issue here, bt in hostel you have inverters.

Admission

You need to qualify in WBJEE Or JEE-MAIN exam and must have to got a valuable rank to take admission in the Course. You can get the application form in the WBJEE official website, I didn't memorize the exact application fees, but it must be under 1500 rs. Yes there is reservation benifit for TFW students, bt it also applied on the basis of TFW rank in the examination & also there is management seats a available like other colleges. No, I don't think so, the admission process is quite good. It's a smooth process for students.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
