- Some times the assignment pressure is too much. You have to submit assignment within the night only
- It is under MAKAUT so exams are controlled by MAKAUT
- Multiple exam are taken here which is little difficult for preparation of any competitive exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
Here all the Teachers are PHD holders. They are very much knowledgable. And they teach very well. The exams are completely dependent on MAKAUT. The difficulty level of the exam is very good. Question are coming from complete syllabus.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know very much about the internship opportunities. But in 3rd year CESC has come give a chance to some students for doing internship. Our college also very helpful for internship. Like they reduce the assignment pressure from internship candidates. They just have to give end semester examination.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placement from 7th Semester. In our TCS, TATA Power, L&T, Wipro , Adani etc. and off campus GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, FACEBOOK. The last highest package published by our college is 42LPA it's four year ago. More than 75% of students are getting placed. My plan after getting the degree is pursue M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur.
Fees and Financial Aid
Here admission fees aren't hiked. But it reduces by Students Fee Waiver Scheme. Here you can apply scholarship like SVMCM, AIKASHREE, OASIS etc. Campus jobs for core departments like Electrical or Mechanical are very good here.
Campus Life
Here multiple fest and hall day are arranged. The annual fest name is Espectro which is conducted on March. Here a central Library is present you can take any book from there. The class room of electrical engineering department is very good. It's like brand new. Here 13 clubs are present.
Hostel Facilities
In our college 4 Boys hostel and 1 Girls hostel are available. In boys hostel 4 students are accomodated in a room. Meal are given two times daily. For taking hostel you have to just fill out the hostel admission form and pay the admission money.
Admission
To took admission into B.tech in Electrical Engineering for lateral you have to give JELET examination. Then based on your rank you will be able to get admission into respective colleges. You can find the fees structure in WBJEE website. In KGEC reservation benifits are also available i.e. ST, SC, OBC, PWD etc. At the time of admission huge amount of documents are required. I think this process is to be simplified in future.
Interview Experience
For admission into B.Tech (lateral) you have to give WBJEE after 12th or JELET after Diploma. The syllabus of these exam are based on MATH, PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY. You can find out the syllabus on WBJEE website easily. I cleared the JELET examination by self study easily.
