Likes

I liked the faculty team as they are very helpful and have a great knowledge not only in their respective field but also on other fields too cause in our college a chemistry faculty has a great field of knowledge in biology too and many more examples
It creates many opportunities for us like Hackathons and many internships are being conducted by this college. It teaches us a very good way to handle pressure in a very unique and efficient way.
Placements are no doubt very good and decent.

Dislikes

The campus is not very dream like aotger colleges
One cannot enjoy his or college life as it is very stressful and disciplined
We have to a handle a lot of things at the same time and the timing of even semester is very short that is within 3 months we have to give 5 exams including 2 midsems one sessional 1 practical and lastly the end sem

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty members are very helpful and knowledgeable. They help us in every field. They clear our doubts as many times as we want and are very calm and endurant. The college has strict discipline which very strictly maintained both by teachers and students. In IEM even a gatekeeper has the right to take necessary steps against an indisciplinary action.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities like the COINCENT with is the collaboration of Microsoft and IBm is offered by Iem and many more like we have chance to be intern of many big companies like Jp Morgan And Chase and many more.

Placement Experience

The students become eligible from 3rd semeste. The average package is 8 to 9 lakhs per annum and the percentage of students getting placed in my field that is Btech is approximately 90 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to do Mtech on AIML.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is 85000 per semester and it provides handsome scholarship opportunities from renowned companies. The average package is around 8 to 9 laks per annum and many day 1 and day0 companies also visit this college.

Campus Life

The life at campus is very stressful cause we have to do a lot of assignments and projects along with opt for many challenges like Hackathon and moreover we have to prepare for the college exams cause it has many subjects

Admission

The admission process are based on three entrance exams Wbjee,Jee Mains and Iemjee To get admitted in Cse one needs to get 1500 rank in Wbjee but my rank was 7500 so I gave Iemjee and my rank was pretty good and I got selected.

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

So I take admission through WBJEE in IEM KOLKATA in B.tech in electrical engineering. So now I talked about eligibility criteria:- You should pass your +2 from any board with a maximum of 60% Admission in this college is 3 types WBJEE, JEE MAIN, IEMJEE all three forms you will get notified by college dunia if you have an account in it. So the IEM KOLKATA is one of the best private colleges in Kolkata and you can say in India also so the cuttoff goes very high you have to get minimum rank for this college. This college admission procedure takes 2 days 1st admission to the college it will take 6 hours. 2nd makaut registration will take next 4 to 5 hours. Review of My IEM University

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
