Likes

The faculties, they're the best thing to our college. We learn quite a lot from them , apart from studies we also get to know about the state of IT market scene , placements and all
The fests and the programs. They certainly make student life, more importantly engineering life non-monotonous. They're like a fresh breath amidst all the pressure
The sports faculties are quite good. We get to engage in tournaments in football and visit other colleges

Dislikes

The campus isn't much of a stretch. That's a bit of a disappointment

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the course because I was into the IT sector and the IT department at my college is known to have a good placement ratio There are around 6 to 7 teachers devoted solely to the core IT subjects so that's a very good ratio The faculties are highly qualified and make great efforts to pass on their knowledge to us The exams were perfectly timed and they were of standard difficulty. To a student who's sincere and regular in his/her studies , they shouldn't find it difficult to pass

Class Size: 105Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are quite in alignment with the level of the educational program, the technological benefits. For a Private college the fee structure is quite modest I got the svmcm scholarship. I'm on 2nd year so I still have time to secure a job

Campus Life

The annual fest is Technobites which includes the Techfest. Apart from that there's a cultural and literary fest known as Srijani. Overall the fest period is very lively and fun There's literally a plethora of books and journals related to every topic you want to study on. The library is the primary source of our reference studies The classrooms are quite nice and spacious There's also an annual sports event known as Exuberance which hosts a range of sports from table tennis to football The college has many a club like literally club, cultural club and so on

Admission

I got admitted into the college through WBJEE The application form and the necessary details about fees and dates are all available on the NTE website Reservation definitely plays a part in admission An improvement I would like to see is make the process more balanced for general students

The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for us.They teach data structures algorithm that is very important for college placements and they also teach os, networks and other usefull things that is very important in computer science.They provide very high quality labs and the whole college has a good internet connection.Tecahers are very educated and good they helps us and teaching in very good way .The exams time schedule is also very good if there is any problem the college will change the exam date that is really a good thing.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
