Less study pressure . There is no attendance criteria as well

Not so good infrastructure. The infra is very old

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is industry standard. It covers all the new technologies. The faculty: student ratio is 74 : 1 . The faculties are well qualified and adopt modern teaching methods. There are 1-2 internals and one semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided from 5th semester. All kinds of companies from core, consultancy and tech visit the campus. It has one the best internship opportunities in India. Almost 90% students get internship

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester.All kinds of companies visit the campus from core, consultancy to Tech . It has one of the best placements in India . The highest package last year was 1.5 cr with 12 lakh being the average. Around 95% students are placed .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is Rs. 5120 / year . It pretty minimal except for IT which is Rs. 55000/ year . There are various government and institutional scholarships available. Such as Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, Alumni Freeship . There is no fee hike

Campus Life

Jadavpur University offers one of the best campus life . The hostel fee is very minimal so that everyone can stay . There are no restriction in hostels . Everyday some or other event is going on which is open for all. The library is pretty huge with each department having its own library and all books are available. There are all kinds of sports facilities available

Hostel Facilities

There is hostel facility provided on campus . The fee is 25/ month and mess fee is 3000/ month which is very minimal. The quality of food is very good and non veg is served everyday. There is no restriction in hostels . The registration is done at the time of admission.

Hostel Fee: INR 300 per year

Admission

You have to give wbjee to take admission the cutoff for General category is around 60 marks . The difficulty is less than JEE Mains but speed matters. The degree is for 4 years for students have PCM in 12 th . Application fees is Rs 500 and comes around January. There is 90% reservation for West Bengal residents. There are also standard category based reservation.

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
