Remarks

Heritage has given me the most memorable time of my life. The atmosphere is very friendly. Professors and seniors are interactive, kind and helpful.

Entrance Preview

I took admission in HITK via WBJEE. My rank matched their admission criteria , so after reviewing thoroughly, I took admission. Yes, there was a counselling process held . My thirst to gain knowledge regarding computer science (specially programming and software) made me choose CSE. Another reason being that this course will yield a good career opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview

Choosing CSE as my course was a good decision. By Second year, I am glad to say that I have grasped the concepts well . Practical Labs on the important topics of our syllabus have been held frequently and periodically , thus being the main focus in learning.

Internships Opportunities

Our college provides training in the final year but doesn't provide internships. They are thinking of providing each of us with at least one internship .

Placement Experience

Placement was good enough. Average yearly package was 3.3 lacks - 4.5 lacks . Companies like TCS , WIPRO and others are the main recruiters.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is approximately a 4 lack curriculum comprising educational fees. Fees per semester is approximately Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000 which includes examination fees.

Exam Structure

Yes, frequent exams and labs are tiring but they are equally helpful for us, making our concepts clearer and giving us the compulsion for frequent thorough revisions.

Faculty

Our faculty is qualified and experienced enough to teach us well.They interact with us quite often and make us feel comfortable to ask as many questions as we want regarding our course topics. The best part is that they are never tired of explaining the same topic repeatedly if needed.

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Unveiling HITK

So, basically i gave all engineering exams and i got good marks in jee as well as in wbjee but waiting for jee councelling to get decent college of my choice unfortunately i did not got what i was expecting and thus throung my jee marks i got admission in hitk which is also a decent college. Talking about the application form u will find in wbjee websiteand its fees is 500 rs also application dates are available in the website itself .
