Course Curriculum Overview
As I mentioned earlier I'm pursuing philosophy right now from Hindu college. So during preference filling in order to maximise chances of admission it is advised to increase your courses in preference. I've heard about philosophy honours course so made bit research about it like its syllabus, course structure and filled it in preference. For first 2-3 months this subject was going above my head but slowly I have started loving it and now I feel blessed that I am pursuing such an amazing subject. In my class there are around 60 students and there are three teachers who give their best to make us understand. Semester exams are being conducted after almost 4 months and I don't think it's really difficult to get passed in them unless you are going to give the exam without even opening the book.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The fee is not really high , it's moderate like around 25000 for a year but main expenses are accomodation cost even hostels are really costly around 1.5 lakhs per year and pg stays also cost around same . So collectively you need around 2-2.5 lakhs for a year . There are lot of scholarships introduced like by government such as nsp and many companies provide scholarships to students of weaker sections
Campus Life
Campus life actually depends on the kind of person you are . Like if you love exploring it will offer you immense opportunities. Every college conduct it's annual fest. The fest of Hindu college is mecca conducted around march and there are lot of other fests like Diwali mela etc . I think only academics related books are available in library. Classrooms are well maintained no doubt ( which are new built) . There is big ground, basket ball court, volleyball court and gym as well. A website named du_club is managed by students.
Admission
For pursuing B.A honours courses in Delhi University you need to have 1language + 3 domains and general test is not required but it varies University to University which aspirant can know about from the information bulletin of cuet.samarth.in and Application forms are released 3-4 months prior to the exam , aspirants can again access them from cuet.samarth.in. And info about everything is on the website itself. For obc ncl reservation one need to central level certificate and income certificate in which income should be below a given criteria.Admission process is actually very hectic and time taking and there are lot of technical glitches and problems that are faced by students during cuet exam , I'm looking forward for many improvements in this field especially in cuet exam process
Other Applied Colleges
Banaras Hindu University - [BHU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.}
