Likes

freedom . there are very few restrictions, no attendance criteria , and opportunity to explore and learn from people pursuing different courses .
The teachers are very passionate and dedicated towards their jobs , which makes it easier to pay attention.
The students you get to study with also teach you a lot as they are all people who are hard working enough to make it into this University .

Dislikes

The office personnel are quite rude and not helpful.
everything in campus is quite far apart , which means travel be foot is quite tideous and time consuming.
Hostels could have been single seater , but they are mostly 3 or 4 seaters.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of my interest in Computer Science and also partially because this was the best college I could have got at my rank in terms of placement. there are 18-20 professors in our college, and about 120 students in each batch , so if 4 batches are studying at one time , then the ration is 1:24 All the faculty are phd holders, and are very passionate about there subjects . Some of them are notable figures even outside JNU. The term exams were conducted according to academic calendar of University , and passing was not a tough job for regular class attendees.

Class Size: 126Course Fees: INR 134000 per year

Placement Experience

Students in last semester are eligible for placements . 23 companies visited the campus and more than half the students were placed. highest on campus placement was 16lpa and off campus was 33 lpa , while average placement was 11lpa. 55 percent students got placed. I plan to be either a software engineer or a musician.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is 67 thousand per semester , and scholarships are income based . if family income ranges from 0 to 1 lack per year , the fees is 0 . If family income is 1 to 5 lack per year , the fees is 1/3 times the regular fees. over 5 lac ler year means you have to pay full fees.

Campus Life

Our college does not conduct fests as it is part of a university. library is one of the biggest in India , so plenty of books. classrooms are mostly well equiped . sports activities and extra curriculars range from very high to very low depending on what the activity is . there are many clubs like photography club , music club , gaming club , entrepreneurship club , etc .

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are spacious and mostly 3 or 4 seaters, no particular problem. Meal quality is adequate, and menu is different every day of the week, but is same for each month. Registration process is a bit tideous as it involves getting approval from different offices 1 or 2 kms apart. hostel fees, however is only 1500 per semester . I chose to live in the hostel .

Admission

candidates must have more than 75% marks in 12th board exams for eligibility. application form for exam (JEE MAINS) is found on jeemain.nta.nic.in website I did not recieve reservation benefits other than income based EWS reservation. I would like there to be more income based and less caste based reservation, as it would make more sense and bring more people out of poverty on average

For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Admission and carrier development cell is there in the college and provides good support but for average packages but for top packages only on your own self you have to grab them. One campus packages are between 3 lakhs 5 lakhs up to 10,20 lacs and highest once even up to 64 lakhs but off campus goes up to crore.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.

Bachelor of Language at JNU

I applied in Delhi University for Bachelor of Management studies got Aryabhatta college as it was mistakenly my first preference, I had enough marks to get admission into a better college compared to Aryabhatta college for BMS, So I left that. Than I applied in Jawaharlal Nehru University for BA Hons French as it seemed very interesting course. And compared to Aryabhatta college, JNU was very cheap, had hostel and very other facilities like 24*7 library, college life. The fee for Aryabhatta college was 27000 I guess and 268 for JNU. I aplied in these two universities only , luckily scored good so I didn't have to wait for second list. The admission for JNU was also very smooth, You have to fill the application form online after cuet result(Generally 85-90% is safe score), it cost around 250 rupees, then after result , you have to visit university with your documents like 10th,12th marksheet, Aadhar card, migration certificate, character certificate and within one day you will get your admission process done. You'll be allocated with your hostel and ID card, library slip then and there....Read More

Review of Jawaharlal Nehru University

I applied for delhi University but it's free. Structure is quite high as compares to JNU.Jnu is affordable for students and provide huge campus with lots of opportunity and placements. First you have to score above 75 in your 12th board. Then you have written Jee mains and you have to score well; there is a benefit to their categories. After this you have to participate in JOSAA counselling if you got the seat; about their categories, you have to pay and fill in other details mentioned and if you do not find any seat, you have to go with csab counselling.
