Friends that I got here are really amazing.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed this course because I wanted to do computer science engineering and luckily got a specialization in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Overall teaching method is fine here . Term exams on February, and toughness is medium.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 600000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible from 6th semester for placements. Amazon etc visits here for placements. 50 percent of students get placement here. Will go for on campus placement after getting my BTech degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is little high , as 6.25 lakhs for 4 years, most of them can't afford. I didn't get any scholarship and because I am a First year student i didn't get any financial assistance or job from the college yet.

Campus Life

The annual fest name is advaya and is conducted in summer mostly and techfest name is Paridhi and is conducted during October - November. Library here is nice availing most of the books. We have around 4-5 clubs here.

Hostel Facilities

Bed mirror windows pillow provided in the room and geaser in the common bathroom. Food is medium here serving 3 times a day. Hostel is private doesn't belong to college. Locality of hostel is just near the college

Hostel Fee: INR 96000 per year

Admission

I took admission through JEE mains 2023 Councelling. Application form through nta official website. The admission process is fine, just needs to be conducted earlier as the college sessions start from August .

From 6th semester students aree eligible for campus placement.. many companies visit like Tata Steel, Mahindra, Adani, JSW, Supergas etc Core companies... Almost 90 percent of last year batch got placed.. average package is around 5.5 LPA increasing year by year. Highest package is 46 LPA in software companies. There is 29 LPA from Mechanical...40 LPA from electrical Depends upon you how you crack the placements..

Placement Experience:

Placement season typically starts from 7th semester but for early drives, students are eligible from 5th and 6th semesters. 2025 - 83 companies had visited. 2022-2023 - 152 companies had visited. 2020-2021 - 83 companies. This year overall placement percentage is 91.48%. Average package this year is 5 LPA however it ranges from 4 LPA - 6 LPA highest package is 40 LPA . Companies that arrive are : TCS, INFOSYS, IBM, WIPRO, AMAZON, PAYTYM, PWC, HPL, ACMEGRDE, and many manny more. There are lots of companies that visit our college .

A Review on Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore

Placement Experience:

From seventh or eighth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Adobe, Trident, Siemens, Infosys have visited, and I don't know the exact number of offers as some offer gets rejected by students sometimes for a better opportunity. The highest package was 27 LPA and average package is around 4LPA-8LPA. I don't have the exact data related to the percentage of students getting placements but a rough estimate is around 50 per cent. I have plans to do higher studies and then I'll apply for any job after graduation.

Internship is the best thing!

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very good placement record. Almost very student gets placed every year. A student becomes eligible for getting placed to a company after he/she completes the 3rd year and steps into the 4th year. There are many popular brands like TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, HYUNDAI etc which are in tie up with our college. The average package provided is around 2.5-3lakhs/year. And the highest package provided is around 7-8lakhs/year. The percentage of students those who gets placed is near about to 74% every year consistently. Which is the main factor of the college's succes and top ranks. My plan is that after I complete my course within an year or so I want to join an automobile industry so that I can design and give my contribution towards the car section.

I got this college by counselling as per my WBJEE rank. This was the best college I got according to my rank and was very good.
